“Little Gem, well located.”
Reviewed May 6, 2013

Spent one night in a whistle-stop-tour of Paris. Hotel is about 5 minutes from Pigalle Metro station in the lively area. Hotel has recently been done up, it's very modern and although other comments state rooms are small (which they are) it's spotlessly clean and all you need for that price.

Staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area surrounding. They have a secure room to hold your bags (it can only be accessed by Buzzer from reception and they have a camera on it at all times) and safes are in the same room for €4 a day. We didn't have the breakfast as there are so many creperies etc in the area we went out for it.

Highly recommended for anyone in the area, would definately stay here again

Yes the rooms are tiny, even the privilege room, there's no wardrobe and there is a little noise from the neighbouring rooms but the location is fantastic (2 blocks to Moulin Rouge), it's a lovely room and the staff are fantastic. Every request was cheerfully accommodated including providing champagne glasses and helping us find an available tour to the Champagne region.

Excellent service from all of the staff (we spoke with at least 5 people during our 3 day stay), excellent level of cleanliness and after other poor experiences in Paris we greatly appreciated some of the basics like having a comfortable bed, daily housekeeping, tea and coffee facilities, wifi and a helpful concierge service!

Room Tip: Privilege rooms are tiny, no wardrobe, bathtub, safe or iron so consider upgrading.

We spent five days in Paris, living in Libertel Montmartre Duperre hotel. The hotel was pretty average - the room ("privilege") was quite small, but clean and pretty quiet. We expected the room to have a safe, but you had to rent one in the hotel basement at 4 euros per day.
The lighting was not the best - there were a few lamps here and there, but these had a sharp, annoying light. We had to hang some thin clothing over the lamps to make the light more comfortable. The bathroom was nice&clean, but small - the water pressure in the shower was bad, which was also annoying.
The staff was nice and helped us when we had any questions about the city etc.

All in all, an OK hotel, but not one we will return to. It was not worth 130 euros per day, which was the price we paid.

Room Tip: You probably want to book a privilege room rather than a basic one, as the basic one is allegedly ev...

The hotel is very well placed between two Metro stations (Blanche&Pigalle) giving straightforward access to both Arc de Triomphe/Champs Ellysee and to Place de la Concorde and Louvre. Montmartre & Sacre Coeur is within walking distance, so are the night clubs such as Moulin Rouge. The hotel is clean, the design of the rooms pleasant, only these are way too small. Or at least the one we got on the first floor is, No wardrobe (this was mentioned in previous reviews), but no place to put/store anything, no place to put our two small (cabin sized) pieces of luggage. The desk is 70x40 cm; the double bed is less than 20 cm from the wall, making it impossible to pass through. On its other side the passage is enough for one person but the other person must jump into the bed for the first to pass (may be useful at times, though...) The bathroom is fine so is the shower. Wifi (free of charge) works pretty well. Wonder about the material of the walls, you can hear every movement from the neighbouring rooms. Nice restaurants can be found in the vicinity.

Room Tip: Ask for size and furniture...

I stayed the weekend (12 January 2013) in the family at this hotel. It was clean but compact and close to the metros of Pigalle and Blanche. The staff were helpful and friendly enough even though my French was zero.

I did fall off my single bed in the middle of the night with a bump and the tv also turned itself on in the middle of the night. I am fairly logical and scientific when it comes to 'ghosts' poltergeists or anything other worldly but I must admit it was a bit 'odd' maybe the metro runs underneath or there is a ley line or maybe Toulouse Lautrec visited the sixth floor.... I wasn't scared just felt a bit of 'unexplainable movement' Good views of the Eiffel Tower and Marmite restuarant nearby was good. Montmarte and Sacre Coeur are walkable and to be explored. At reception I noticed lots of couples checking in. Good little place for a short visit.

Room Tip: We were on the sixth floor and had a double bed and single bed for the three of us. I found this to...

Dear Sutherlandmillar,

Thank you for sharing your experience at the hotel.

We have already warned "Toulouse Lautrec" ghost to do not disturb our client during the night but as usual he just does whatever he wants ! Just kidding !

Please contact us at mod@hlparis.com by giving your room number in order to repair the TV. It could be an electrical problem.

However, we love to hear how much you enjoyed your stay and the surroundings of the hotel.

We will be pleased to welcome you soon at the hotel Libertel Montmartre Duperré for another ghost story or just to spend a really good time with us for your next stay in Paris.

Yours sincerely,

I just had a great 4-day holiday in there. The room was little as expected but clean and well organized, the bathroom was very nice (in particular the shower) and the staff was friendly and polite. We loved the free water heater in the room: the possibility to make yourself a tea or a coffee (especially in the cold winter) is simply great! I strongly suggest to take the breakfast (I personally benefited from a 3days+breakfast included offer), because it's very good. Another great point in favor of this hotel is that quite well-placed, and there is a lot of sites of interest in the nearby (Moulin Rouge, Montmartre cemetery, Sacre Coeur, Place du Tertre), as well as a lot of good restaurants.

Room Tip: I strongly advise the Privilege Chambres because they're slightly bigger than the Confort Chambr...
