“good location small rooms”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 12, 2012

Really my rating is 3.5
The best thing about this hotel is its location. Its about a 5 minute walk to bars and eateries and about a 15 minute walk to the bottom on the Eiffel tower but doesnt suffer from traffic or night-time noise.
We booked a superior room and stayed in room 301, not the best I must say, we overlooked the road and a local small bar, it wasnt noisy but not a good view. It was a lot smaller than it looks on the photos, we know Paris rooms are small from our previous visits but when you book and pay for a superior you do expect something a bit better but it was clean and well decorated. The bathroom was prone to flooding due to the shower set up. Perhaps I should have made my opinions to the staff but as we were only there for 2 days it wasnt worth it. Breakfast is good and plentiful. The staff are friendly and helpful. I think after reading other reviews I was expecting a bit more wow, but this hotel is good for a base but its nothing special. The bed was one of the worse I've ever slept in it was supposed to be a queen but it was just a normal double and a cheap mattress.

Room Tip: from other reviews you might be better asking for a high floor above 3

Great boutique hotel literally 5 mins from the Eiffel Tower and although the room was small, the balcony with a view of the Eiffel Tower more than made up for it - just ask for room 603. The room was clean and well presented, although the bathroom could have been a bit less waterlogged when using the shower! The guys on reception were always very helpful and don't mind letting you in at 2am!

Booked this hotel for a 2 night stay in February this year, me (26) and my Girlfriend (25) (now fiancée!). Flew with Air France from Manchester to CDG and got the train from the airport to the metro and switched lines to the Trocadero. After wandering down a few streets we managed to find the hotel. Upon check in we were told that we had a room on the 7th floor and after reading reviews I thought great that’s where we want to be! Check in was quick and easy. When we got there, our room had been upgraded free of charge to one of the better suites, with its own balcony and view of the tower! Awesome! The room was big, the bed huge and you sank into it. All fixtures and fittings modern and well presented, very clean. We had bottles of water & luxury toffees left for us in the room as well, plus there were slippers and dressing gowns hung up. Bathroom was good too. When we went, the weather was freezing! it was -8 to -14 for the 3 days! It even snowed on our last day, but the room was fine and aircon heating worked well. Also a safe too. You get wifi codes from reception. The hotel is well located and is not far from the Eiffel Tower at all. The Trocadero is 5 mins walk and the tower probably 10 mins from there. (navigating road crossings etc) There are lots of shops and restaurants close by, but it is quite hard to navigate as all the streets look the same! The hotel recommended a restaurant and it was an Italian close by (it’s in there recommended leaflet they give out). Was top notch, well priced and very popular with the locals. We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel so can’t comment there. Night times was quiet and we didn’t hear anything from other guests. After a long day out on Saturday in -10 degree weather, we came home and had a shower/bath/shower to try and warm up and thaw out, the hot water must have been on a long time and it stayed hot throughout despite some heavy use, so that’s good too.

It was my first proper time to Paris (went when I was 6yrs old) and I must say it is a great place. But there are a few things to watch out for though. We were only there 2 nights/3 days and we did see some dodgy looking characters. Down by the river, we saw a chap dropping a ring (or something like that) on the floor and offering it to people. They did refuse and we just steered clear. Also on the subway you are always cautious walking around as there are strange people lurking around. One time on one of the subway journeys a homeless man was on the train asking people for money. When you said no he would shout at you and hurl abuse at you and gesture aggressively towards you. My girlfriend was scared by it and I wouldn’t liked for her to have been by herself as you feel vulnerable with nowhere to go. Even with these flaws, it’s still a great place, you can’t blame the people meet you on the location.

It really is a romantic place and would highly recommend it to anyone. The hotel its self was a great experience, ideal and exactly what I wanted for a romantic weekend away!

Room Tip: Ask for the 7th Floor!

Stayed here for 3 nights. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast buffet is amazing. There is free wifi on all floors which was very helpful for planning our trip into the future. The location is fantastic and is only a 10 minute walk from the Eiffel tower.

I loved this place there is a cafe and pastry shop directly next to the hotel in a very nice neighborhood. The staff was great, they all spoke english and arranged a cab ride for us to get to the airport. The location was fantastic, short walk to the Eiffel Tower and the Trocadero metro station. Couldn't be happier with this place, I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We stayed at the Plaza Tour 12th August for 3 nights. We were given a room on the top floor and we were more than happy with it and was fine for the 3 of us, myself, husband and son. It had 2 balconies so had a great view of the Parisian streets, rooftops and the Eiffel Tower. We had a fridge so could store drinks and so we had a drink on the balcony looking out on the Eiffel Tower when we came back in the evening.
The area is excellent, just a short walk to the main Trocadero area where there are plenty of restaurants and cafes.
We would recommend this hotel as a great place to stay.

Room Tip: Ask for room with a good view.
