The hotel is very well located in Paris next to Saint Lazare gare and you can get to opera walking around 15min. Paris is for walk and enjoy, so for us was perfect we perfectly walk with baby stroller from hotel to Opera to take the turistic bus, lafayette galeries and restaurants. The hotel is in a quiet zone and there is a supermarket next to it wich is good thing. Sorry for my english jeje

Older resort but still beautiful.
Selection of restaurants but the stand out was the Sorrento Spanish Restaurant & Tapas.
Great selection, delicious food and impeccable service.
Our waitress "Redi" was lovely
The Hotel, the staff and the general condition of the room was great. Fresh sheets and towels, free toiletries, clean smelling room, the usual. But upon closer inspection, the room had several issues. First the shower (which has doors you can close) leaked, don't know how, but after a shower there was water on about 50% of the bathroom floor. Secondly, there was dust on the furniture. Then finally, and that really was unprofessional and random, there was an open yoghurt left in the minibar, even after reporting it to the staff, it hadn't been cleaned up when I left the room. Quite disappointed for this kind of hotel. Also breakfast wasn't included in my room and was ridiculously expensive, 16€.

Regarding the shower, did you informed the reception desk about it ? Because we actually have a repair man for the hotel several days by Week. Maybe he could have fixed it easily.
On your second point, I must say we are very desappointing about it. This is just not in our habits. The replacement staff there during this period will not be recall.
I'd like to know if you even tested our breakfast ? Because for this amount we served : sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise), soft bread (white and full), french baguette, 3 different pastries, 2 diferent type of cereales (and we change often), dry fruits, yogurts (natural and fruit), cottage cheese, butter, margarine, fresh fruit salad, diferent type of delicatessen from France, Spain or Italy, ham, turkey ham, pickles, tomatoes, different type of cheese, 3 different juices, a lot of different jam, and so on ! But you will be happy to know that we decided to lower our breakfast rate a bit.

I visited Paris for my vacation as an "unplanned trip" - not planning many things ahead. Especially, not a hotel - I didn't get to book a hotel early, and I was very nervous if I booked the right one. In turned out that I was so fortunate to choose Hotel Berne Opera! I stayed here for 7 nights, and Hotel Berne Opera was very nice for their friendly staff and its convenient location.
Friendly staff. On the night I arrived, I met with a wonderful staff named Louisa. She said the suite I booked was not available just for that one night, and she offered for that night a triple room complemented with free breakfast.
Here is what was really nice: I would prefer not packing again to move into a different room. And since the triple room was already quite big for the two of us (a family member and I), I asked her if we could stay in the triple room and get free breakfast for the entire stay. She didn't turn down my suggestion, and made my request happen! Our first Paris trip became much more enjoyable and easier for that, from day 1.
I got an impression that Louisa truly puts her best effort to try to make Hotel Berne Opera customers enjoy their visits to Paris. And she speaks good English. I'm only mentioning Lousia b/c I interacted with her the most, but other staff were also nice.
The location. I felt like Hotel Berne Opera is located in a residential area of Paris 9th arrondissement. The neighborhood felt safe and quite. Plus, it took me about only 15~20 min by walk to get to Printemps, Galerie Lafayette and Paris Opera. All in all, if you don't have a particular location in mind in Paris, I think Hotel Berne Opera is in a quite nice location!
The score 4/5 for rooms is due to the bed mattress, which were too soft - I personally didn't like them. However, the room was clean, including the mattress.

Lovely comfortable rooms, a great buffet breakfast and friendly, helpful staff. Located very close to Rome Metro station making it very easy to explore the city and in a nice area with lots of good places to eat. Really enjoyed our stay!
