Owner description: Stand Up Comedy Show in French by an American! What is it like to live in France after the taste of cheese has become bland, when you don't have time to visit the Louvre, when you start to actually understand what the French are saying ? Influenced by Woody Allen, Jerry Seinfeld and Louis CK, Sebastian has decided to share his expat experiences in an comedy show which is so funny that even the French find it "not bad". Girls, work, terrorism... Living the French Dream is not always as smooth and creamy as foie gras.

It was a super fun hour and a half spent with a glass of your favourite drink. Sebastian's observations are spot on and so many times it made me think yes so true. He was very interactive and tried to involve the audience in a fun way. A friend got us the tickets as an anniversary present and we had a great evening of shared laughter. We will be back for more for sure. Highly recommended!

As a Californian, and a huge fan of stand-up, when I found this show on meetup.com, I was naturally very interested in checking it out. Sebastian Marx has incredibly captured the foreigner experience in Paris and created his great comedy show “A New Yorker in Paris”

You can completely understand and relate to his jokes whether you have been here for one weekend, one week, or one year. He has brought to light so many things, obvious and not so obvious, which are just hilarious. His delivery and emotion will leave you laughing for the entire show. Friday and Saturdays are followed with other comedians who are very funny as well. For a drink included in the ticket, it’s a steal of a deal. I will recommend this to my English speaking friends regardless if they live here, or are just passing by.

To top it off, the club is very intimate, which is nice because other comedy clubs I have been to are so big, you feel far from the “action” so to speak. I highly recommend his show and the other comedians if you haven’t gone yet!

This is a quality show set in a very welcoming atmosphere. Sebastian's observations about being an American in Paris are really smart and funny. He really tries to talk to everyone in the audience -- without making you uncomfortable like some comedians do. The venue is very small and intimate so you can get to know the performers as well as other audience members. This is a great value for the price too. On Saturday nights there is a stand up show after NYer in Paris, featuring comics from the US & UK and you're allowed to stay for that show without paying another admission.
