Convenient Paris Hotel

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Jan 4, 2017
Very convenient (by foot) to Eiffel Tower, river cruise, Champs Elysees, Invalides, Christmas Markets. Specially important to us as one of our group was in a wheelchair. The value in this hotel is its location.
Local food available (restaurants, bakeries and supermarkets).
Reception staff very good - kudos to Jonathan for booking a multi-seat minivan (not usual service) and finding some lost items left in a the minivan and getting them back to the hotel.

ps. Not a hotel issue at all, but watch the taxis - they are crooks. One driver obscured his meter while driving and changed the rate or some other setting enroute and the <15 euro fare from Gare du Nord to the hotel clocked up to 35 euro. A return journey to Gare du Nord 10 minutes later was under 12 euro.

I have only the best memories of my stay at this charming hotel. The name doesn't do much for me to conjure up Parisian charm but I was on the top floor and had a great view of the city. The beds were nice and I just loved the breakfast and stay here. I recommend it!!!

I was impressed by the quality-price ratio of the Hotel. It is located in one of the nicest areas of Paris, at a walking distance from the Champs-Elysees, the Invalides and the Seine sidewalks. It has a very smart "express breakfast" formula for 7 Euros. The beds are very comfortable and the room spacious and well equipped (perhaps because I was lucky to be upgraded to the 6th floor suite).
Areas of improvement: some old, cheap-looking formica wood furniture and water drainage in the shower.

Room tip: There are currently works on the roof. In case you want to work during the day in the room, avoid the 6th floor.

A lovely and charming hotel ideally located within walking distance of Les Champs-Elysees and close to a metro station. The room was very comfortable and clean. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly. Would definitely use this hotel again.

This hotel is nicely located near the metro, good restaurants and the Eiffel Tower. We stayed for one week to celebrate our birthdays. We arrived in the morning and we were allowed to check in. Our room was on the 6th floor. It was small, as Parisian hotel rooms are. The room was a bit tired, including stained carpet, but was generally okay. The bed was very comfortable and we were not bothered by street noise at all. All the staff we encountered were pleasant and professional. Now for the negatives. The first morning we woke up to discover the radiator had dripped water onto our clothes that were in a suitcase placed in front of it. Housekeeping came daily in the late afternoon. A couple of times we were in the room when they arrived so our room wasn't serviced. One night, at midnight, our door was opened by a woman. Of course it woke us up. She identified herself as an employee (later confirmed by us) and was surprised to see us. She told us she was delivering a comforter to a customer and had the wrong room. She never knocked on the door. That seemed strange and we had trouble falling back to sleep that night. We also accidentally discovered that our door wouldn't lock. We reported it and supposedly it was repaired, but the repair didn't work. That made us nervous. Ultimately I believe the entire lock system replaced. It took 3 days from the time we discovered it until it was fixed. One day as we were leaving we discovered the elevator was out of service. We had to walk down from the 6th floor. Normally that wouldn't be a big deal, but my husband had injured his knee and was in quite a bit of pain. Fortunately the elevator was repaired before we arrived back in the evening so we didn't have to walk up all those stairs. If only one of those things had happened it would be easy to overlook. But all of those things? I don't think I'd stay there again.

We arrived and were welcomed by friendly staff and an easy, smooth check in. The rooms were small and a little tired but had everything that you need. There were ample shops, cafes and restaurants in walking distance as well as a metro stop and bike access. We were able to walk to all the main attractions with ease and every request was dealt with immediately by staff. I would gladly use this hotel again.
