As you don't get much for your money as far as Paris hotels go, or is that just me (Australian dollars after all!!!!) this hotel was perfect. Great location at an affordable price.
The staff greeted you at alltimes of the day and arranged anything you needed and promptly too. Close to the department stores. We took the Roissy bus from CDG as I had read in many reviews. It cost about 35 euros for three people and dropped you off a couple of blocks away. The hotel arranged the yellow airport shuttle company for our return to CDG and at 51 euros for door to door it was worth the extra. My suggestion would be to email the hotel and have them arrange this for your arrival too. The Roissy bus was packed to over capacity in my opinion and luggage racks were piled high and it was dangerous! Not to mention there was standing room only therefore I didn't think worth the money. I would definately stay at this hotel again.

Stayed here for four night in April 2009 with my wife, brother and parents during a 17 day European family vacation. The location is perfect, with just a few minutes walk to several metro stations and train station. It is tucked away on a quiet street, close to PrinTemps department store and several great restaurants - Chez Papa. The rooms were comfortable, very clean and spacious compared to other European accommodations I have experienced. The breakfast was wonderful with meats, cheeses, breads yogurt and Parisian coffee. The staff was extremely helpful and provided fantastic dinner recommendations each night. Additionally, the staff mailed me my drivers license, after leaving it behind in the room, and it actually beat me home. Thank you to the staff! I would recommend this location to any traveler and would further recommended the duck dinner at Chez Papa, which is about two minutes away.

It was the perfect Hotel for us, easy access to the rail stations, walk to the up market shopping, Paul's one block for the best pasteries, eating cafes, safe area for us at night, grandaughter 16th Birthday, and she loved all of Paris, The Siene River Cruise, the train to Versailles, The skegways, (a must do), Disneyland, Momartra, Giverny Monet's garden, Mont St Michel,of course the Eiffel Tower (twice) day and night, plus all the other things todo. We stayed for 14 days, Staff helped with bookings of return flights the night before. The room was big enought for both of us, Twin beds, and the Bathroom was great with its own floor to ceiling window, which opened to let the breeze in at night.

I stayed in the Sydney Opera on May 2008 during my first visit to Paris and Europe. I chose it after reading lots of reviews here in TA. When we arrived, the hotel looked just as the pictures in the web, very clean and elegant. The service was very good, the room was cleaned everyday ( I stayed 4days) and it was very quiet during the night.
The breakfast was included in the rate and it was good, not too fancy but Ok to start the day.
I liked the WiFi in the lounge, and it was free.
It is very close to Opera Garnier, but I found it a little hard to reach it by subway from the airport, maybe due to my inexperience.
In the area of the Opera Garnier you can take the hop on/hop off bus, which takes you all around Paris and is a great way to get to the main attractions. I also took a night cruise in the Seine River and it was GREAT.
All in all, i think it is a good hotel, good price and good rooms.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in September. The hotel had been recently renovated and it showed in the general presentation. The room was not large but ample for the two of us with twin beds which is quite common in Europe. Not hard to push together. The bathroom again was small but had a bath with shower over with marble tiling and vanity. Both areas were spotlessly clean and maintained that way for the duration of our stay. Everyone associated with the hotel were always polite and extremely helpfull. The breakfast area and buffet breakfast were some of the best we encounted in our travels.
We had a front room on the third floor which had french windows overlooking the street scene because of the effective soundproofing when the windows were closed there was no noise inside the room. The air conditioning worked and was silent in operation.
The location of the hotel was extremely convenient being only a short walk from the major shopping areas, most of the sites of Paris, the underground rail network and also cllose to Gare du Nord rail station.

We stayed here for 9 days over April and May, and very much enjoyed our stay. The Hotel is close enough to the Metro and in walking distance from the major department stores.
The room was excellent because it had a little lounge or 3rd bed area, with second tv, and just added that extra for us to crash on return from walking tours.
There was a little bit of thumping from above, so I would take the 4th floor next time.
The room was always spotlessly cleaned, and the service was fine.
The breakfast was great, with plenty of variety and always stocked up. We found the staff very patient, especially when some of the fellow guests didnt seem to know how to self-serve (poaching the eggs in the boiling water for the hard boiled eggs seemed to be one of the more bizarre rituals!!)
Lots of Australians are here (could be the name!) and this may or may not put you off.
We had a lovely stay and would very much recommend this place.

Two adults and our son of 11 spent 7 nights at this hotel. We were on the 4th Floor, the lift was out of action and renovations were happening on the 2nd Floor. You might think a recipe for disaster? Not so.
Our room was fine for Paris, a triple, odd configuration, but warm and comfortable. Good comfy beds, two LCD Tv's (keep the young one happy at night) a small but well configured bathroom, mini bar and everything worked.
Importantly a very clean hotel, no smoke smell (we had a smoking room) and a pleasant bar area and retreat downstairs after a long day touring. (nice french champagne available).
The service made the difference. Try getting laundry done in Paris, three days if you are lucky. The hotel doesn't offer this service either but the reception staff collected and delivered our laundry while we were away, asking for nothing in return. They also provided a discounted rate for the room because of the lift failure and offered us accomodation on a lower floor.
Breakfast we didn't use as it was a bit expensive but there are plenty of cafes close by. Close to some reasonable restaurants and public transport.
We have very fond memories of this hotel. OK for families, maybe not the aged until the lift is fixed.

  • Liked — Cosy feel, good beds, service and cleanliness
  • Disliked — The lift not working. We had three large suitcases
