Le Littre is good value and well located - neighbourhood brasseries, bakeries, corner store, metro, train to Versailles, the gorgeous Luxembourg gardens - almost a daily "chill"place (bring a baguette and people watch), the Bon Marche, shopping and dining around the beautiful St. Sulpice church... We are walkers and happily walked to and from all the major sites except Sacre Coeur! The staff are wonderful and very accommodating. The rooms are clean. As per past reviews, the wireless is slow and the rooms are a bit dated (and the renovated bathroom tub could have used a grab rail) but my family and I (including a 3 month old, for whom they provided a crib) had 2 rooms for a week and were extremely happy with our choice of Le Littre.

We booked the hotel through our travel agent, who recommended it for its location and services, and we thank her for that.

We stayed only one night, but it was perfect. The room was outstanding. So was the welcoming of the hotel staff.

We enjoyed the location that enabled us to simply walk to all the places at the heart of Paris, as well as the reach and tasty breakfast buffet.

For sure we"ll stay again at this hotel

We loved our recent stay here. Our large room was perfect and charming. Staff was helpful and friendly, and spoke english! They have the answers to everything and are even able to sell you metro tickets and museum passes. Breakfast had several choices and is a wonderful way to start your day. Wifi worked great in our room on the 5th floor. We will absolutely stay there again!

Stayed here for five days. While it's a long walk to major sites it's very close to metro; you can get to any Paris location in minutes. Breakfast was included, nothing special but a good start to the day. Small bar with friendly bartenders. They need to improve the wireless; don't try to work from your room.

In just about two weeks, we get to return to our favorite hotel in Paris, Le Littre. We were there the first week in June, but were sick as could be with head and chest afflictions. Nevertheless, we couldn't have been happier with our choice of places to stay. We decided to return in October to "do" Paris healthy.

We had a superior double room for a week's stay and it was perfect. Le Littre is an older hotel, so nit-pickers might find a crack here, or a chip there to carp about, but we enjoyed the roominess, the ambience, and the great bath facilities. When we needed down time to nurse our ailments, it was quiet and peaceful.

Staff was great, friendly and helpful, among them Monsieur Impri and Madame France, and Monsieur Mohammed and Mademoiselle Mathilde in the breakfast room. Breakfast had a wide variety of fruits, pastries, breads, juices, and some warm dishes as well.

Can't say enough about location. On a quiet street between Rue de Rennes and Rue Vaugirard. Within 15 min. by foot to Jardin du Luxembourg, St. Germain de Pres, and Les Invalides. Boulevard Montparnasse is a few steps away with its cafes and shops, and the Metro station is right there.

We'd recommend this hotel to anyone who wants easy access to all that Paris has to offer, and to those who enjoy a change from those "cookie-cutter" hotels.

Dear Madam, Dear Sir,

You cannot imagine how glad we were to read your review!!!
We would really like to thank you for taking on your time to describe your experience at Le Littré!

Our hotel was built in 1924, and was created to be a hotel that is why our rooms are large (the smallest one is 20 m²!); we very often refurbish our rooms on an ongoing basis.
Thank you also for mentioning the names of the staff you enjoyed meeting!
In a few words; your comments are just PERFECT!! So thanks a lot for your precious support!

Take care of you and feel free to contact us for any additional information you may need!

We stayed here for 6 nights in mid-July 2013. The location was great for visiting all of Paris sights, museums, as the hotel is one block away from the Metro hub at the Montparnasse Tower (although it's several blocks from the Tower itself). The hotel is tucked away on a side road, so you are somewhat shielded from main road noise. The staff at the hotel was extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. They all spoke English in various degrees, all of them better than my French. The buffet was excellent, with a wide selection, and the atmosphere was always very relaxed. Our room was kept very clean daily, without any issues. AC also worked well, as it was July. Wifi worked well in our room. It was a restful respite from what turned out to be a very jam-packed schedule of going to various places in Paris, which I believe is the cultural center of Europe these days. This was our 2nd trip to Paris (also for 6 days 4 years ago). The 1st time we came here was the 1st time I had ever been in a non-English speaking place. Since then we've visited numerous other countries in Europe, so things just felt more relaxed to me this time around. I should add that, as an American, I have never felt any negative attitudes from any French-speaking Parisian (except for some snooty Indian waiter at an Indian restaurant, the Himalaya, who are now handing out flyers on the street). I find the French attitude towards living a relaxed, enjoyable, cultured life to be refreshing. The cafe culture is alive and well, all over Paris, and I wish more American cities were like that. Le Littre Hotel is very close to many restaurants and cafes in the Montparnasse district. The Jardin de Luxembourg is a wonderful public park a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The chess players there are quite serious. We spent time at the Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, Pompidou, Marmottan, Rodin Musee, Grand and Petit Palaces, Versailles, etc. In short, we packed a lot into 6 days, and the Le Littre hotel was a great place to come back to and recharge. I would certainly come back here.

Very nice hotel. Central to everything and all buses etc. Staff is very nice. ONLY negative and
a SERIOUS one. The tube was 3'8'' high from the floor. And NO grab bars or handles of any kind.
If traveling alone I would have been forced to have a staff member for help getting in and out of
the tube.
