Neighborhood: Montmartre
Description: In front of the Moulin de la Galette, this italian restaurant of Montmartre is maybe the better one with his fresh and home made italian traditionnal food. This family restaurant offer a large choise of typicals courses cooked in the open kitchen near to a nice courtyard. Taste it!

I'll keep it short and simple.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is magical, like walking into an Italian home.
The food was amazing, the ingredients were fresh, high quality and full of flavor. We came as a couple and shared a beef carpaccio. For the main course we took spaghetti bolognese and mushroom risotto , both were excellent!
With 2 glasses of wine, the price was fair and you get excellent value for money!!!
Do not pass on this place.

I found this restaurant utterly charming. I was horrified to see in the previous review that one of their complaints was that the hostess did not speak English. When in France dear! I think this can only be a good thing. The food was great and the staff wonderful. And when in France... Try speaking a little French!

I've eaten in some fantastic Italian restaurants but this wasn't one of them. Having made a reservation at the start of the week we arrived to be greeted by a lady who clearly knew no English and told us we had to return at 9.30. Once the difficulty over the reservation was sorted out she sat us next to the kitchen. We should have left then!
The starter we ordered was so overcooked it was a mush on the plate. My main course, which was a seafood pasta, was overpowered by the seasoning and was unpalatable. My husband had a penne dish which had little bacon in it and had virtually no flavour.
Don't waste your time with this restaurant. It does not deserve it's rating. There are many much better establishments in the vicinity

Found this restaurant by chance on our way home from a visit to Sacre- Coeur. We decided to stop in for dinner around 6:30pm and had the place to ourselves as most Parisians don't usually eat until after 8pm. Had a chance to sit and talk with the owners son Francesco who was a extermely pleasent. We discovered that this is a family run business with Francesco, his father Bruno, his Mother and his other brother Daniele all working there. We had a wonderful meal , wine and great conversation with Fancesco before it got extemely busy. My wife and I could not say enough about the great food we had to eat. This was authentic Italian cuisine at a very reasonable price. Since we were staying near by we ended up having dinner there another evening during our stay in Paris. I suggest that if you are in the Montmartre area of Paris that you stop in for dinner. Be sure to make reservations if you intend to eat a little later as it fills up quickly.
If you are using the city map supplied by your hotel you are going to have a difficult time locating Rue Tholoze on that map. Somehow it was omitted. The easiest way of locating this street is to find rue Lepic which runs near the Moulin Rouge. Follow it strait up till it ends, cross the street and on the right is rue Tholoze. Near the top of rue Tholoze (on the right hand side of the street)near where it meets Rue Lepic is where you will find Tentazioni.
