Owner description: Maison Georges Larnicol's Parisian chocolate shop displays one of the most decadent collections of sweets in the city. Prices are on the higher side, but the treats make for great gifts to bring home.

You'd think that the macarons at a store that advertises its owner is an MOF (Meilleur Ouvrier de France) would be amazing and beyond compare...

Well. No. They weren't, at least not the ones we just had and were a distant second to the ones we had from a patisserie on Rue des Rosiers.

The macarons from Msr. Larnicol's shop were at least a few days old, lacked crunch and had muddled flavours. Technically, they were imperfect, varying in size by at least 1cm in diameter and half that in height.

Perhaps the other treats were of better quality, but I'd be hesitant to try them based on the heaps that were piled in the display cases. None of them can be fresh or well cared for in that environment.

I was in Paris last week of June. Accidentally got in there after attending Mass in Notre-Dame. I did not know about this shop at all. Bought some dark chocolate and macaron.

Surprisingly good. Worth the money and experience.

Then I look up in the Internet and notice that it is already a famous shop.....

What a wonderful chocolate shop. The artisan chocolates almost looked too goo to eat, but when we did they tasted great .... so did the macarons!

The staff were really helpful and the only problem we encountered was deciding what to buy as there is so many delicious treats to choose from.

Stumbled across this little gem while exploring the area when waiting for our hotel room to be ready. Absolutely amazing chocolates with a huge variety to choose from, not to mention the great chocolate art scattered throughout the shop. Is a must do when in montemarte, best chocolate ive had in years.
