Description: La Bauhinia offers a unique ambience in the heart of the hotel. Inspired by the bauhinia flower, the restaurant is a reminder of Shangri-La Hotel's roots in Asia. Crowning the restaurant is a stunning glass 'cupola', designed by the renowned architect Maurice Gras, which bathes the restaurant in light. French and Asian dishes served at La Bauhinia maintain a respect of cultures in their authentic flavours. Enjoy also a grand selection of wines, and experience afternoon tea in the Asian tradition, with delicate pastries and speciality teas.

“Beautiful dining room”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

Beautiful dining room in Shangri la hotel. the hotel is in very nice area and setting. 2 separate menu ( french and Asian). good choices on the children menu as well. The service was excellent until our waiter was shifted to a large table on the upstair, at which point it appeared that our dessert choices were not communicated to the person covering. After a long period of waiting and me starring at the waiter, he came by and asked would there be anything else, to find out that our dessert order was never placed. ( for the mixup they gave us a small plate of complementary dessert). Very unusual for a chain that is known for its service.

Thank you very much for your review about your experience at La Bauhinia. We are really pleased to know that you loved the decor of the restaurant but at the same time, very sorry to learn that you were disappointed with the service. Please, do accept our apologies for the lack of consideration from our staff, which we cannot accept in a luxury hotel. “Not worth the stop and the money”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

I went there for afternoon tea. Definitely not one of the finest palaces in Paris. There is an attempt to look truly antique and everything is fake.
I won't come back to this palace but rather to other ones more authentic and with quicker service.

Dear Myrtillelamy,

We would like to thank you for your comment about your Tea-Time at La Bauhinia. We are sorry to know that you did not enjoy it because of its authentitcity. As we can see, you went to our restaurant in December 2012. We would like to inform you that our tea time has been redesigned since then. In particular, our Pastry Chef François Perret has changed the presentation of our scones and all the sweet and savory items. We received good feedback from our customers and hope you will eventually come back and try us again.
We are looking forward to welcoming you back.

Best Regards,
Nicolas Bourgeois

“Great Place For Breakfast”
Reviewed July 25, 2013

We ate here many times for breakfast this month and found both the food and the impressive multi-lingual staff to be flawless in every respect. Don't pass up the dim sum breakfast if you want to try something new.

“excellent service, good food”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

this being the Shangri La Hotel in Paris, you won't be disappointed by the service . The food is either asian or traditional french , and excellent in both case.
Atmosphere is good, whether for a business lunch or a romantic dinner .
Finally, it's expensive but - uh - it's the Shangri La !
