“No big complaints”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 2, 2011

We stayed at this hotel for three nights during the last week of November. We booked it through hotwire and got a good rate. The hotel isn't in the city center and is a short walk from the metro, but it worked out pretty well. The lady who runs it isn't the friendliest lady in town and doesn't seem to really like Americans, but she keeps the hotel clean and efficient. And at the end of the day, that's all we cared about. We stayed in room 51 which was on the fifth floor. It had two twin beds and was a good size room for french standards and the bathroom was pretty nice. The hotel is kept clean and is quiet. The hotel has a grocery store just around the corner from it which is very convenient for out of towners who want to buy some water, soda, or snacks. The Gard De Nord tran station is very close by too. It's about five blocks away. In fact we took a cab from the train station when we arrived, but we actually walked with our luggage to it when we left. The closet metro stop is the Cadet stop which is about four blocks from the hotel. That stop works well because it's on the line that runs downtown to the Louve and the main city centre. This was my first trip to Paris, so the hotel worked well and was a good rate, but I will probably not stay there again because it's too far from the parts of town I like which is the left bank or the Champs. No major complaints though and if you stay here it will probably work well for the right price. We paid $125 a night through hotwire. Also, the hostess was very nice to let us bring our bags to the hotel prior to our check-in time and also let us leave them for the day once we checked out, because our flight didn't leave until that evening. All and all - it's a good place. The owner would do a lot better if she just smiled a little more though.

Room Tip: Close to the Gard De Nord train station. Closet Metro is the Cadet stop. Great supermarket right a...

We stayed here with two other couples. The staff accommodated us on the same floor which was very much appreciated. The rooms are beautifully decorated and clean and all different. The breakfasts were fabulous and we were in close vicinity to a small shopping centre so we could make our lunches. Lots of restaurants handy and very close to Gare du Nord and for travellers there is a Laundromat just nearby. Staff were wonderful and accommodating to our Australian accent and minimal French. Fabulous Time.

After searching for hours online to find a nice hotel in Paris with good value, we found and booked in this hotel. And we are very happy we made that choice as it met all our expectations!

The location is very convenient in a nice neighborhood and the service is professional and friendly.

Room was spacious, very clean, French style, being classic and modern at the same time.

Definitely recommend this hotel for a stay.

Room Tip: We saw all rooms on fourth floor, they are all different but very nice.

Booked via Railbookers for three couples celebrating a 70th birthday. Hotel more than met all expectations. Rooms eclecticaly different but all comfortable and welcoming and above all clean. Location excellent for sight-seeing and shopping with many attractions being within a 15-20 minute walk. Many restaurants within similar distance to cover all tastes and prices.Reception staff were all extremely helpful and ever cheerful with suggestions for travel by bus and metro when asked. Taxis, when requested for special outings, were promptly ordered and arrived in good time. Breakfast was more than sufficient to get the day underway with plenty of good coffee. This hotel definitely helped to make the birthday weekend a success

Great little hotel near the Garde du Nord train station. We stayed for 4 nights and was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and service for the price. The receptionist, Sebastion was very helpful and a pleasure.
My only complaint was that there is a large cut out from the bedroom staring directly into the shower and toilet area of the bathroom. Yes, the bathroom! Not for the faint of heart or newly coupled. Aww, the French are so romantic.

We got a beautiful large room. The hotel also has tiny rooms for a much lower price. Our room was unusually attractive and the bathroom was very chic with good fixtures. The room was very very quiet day and night. It wasn't especially comfortable, though, and the hotel management seems to save on supplies. The weather was rather warm yet we only had a heavy comforter, no top sheet or light blanket. Bathroom supplies were not replenished unless we made a special request. The staff were remarkable friendly and helpful.

The neighborhood is pleasant, with food stores next door. The metro stations are not close but several bus lines stop near the hotel. The hotel is within walking distance from Sacre Coeur, the Opera Garnier, and the Grand Boulevards.

I stayed just one night, but i really liked it. The rooms are typically small (this is an occupational hazard in Paris) but, mine was very comfortable, clean, recently renovated and had everything I could need. The hotel is on a quiet street, but close to many nice cafes and bars, metro and only a 15 minute walk from Gare du Nord. I was too late for breakfast (another plus, the beds are very comfy !)and the nice woman at the front desk got me some juice, fruit and a coffee. Most other hotels, especially in Paris, would have booted you out with a maternal suggestion that you should't have slept so late. All in all, a nice hotel with a charming and accommodating staff.
