“A fantastic hotel in a great location.”
Reviewed January 16, 2014

I just got back home after a week at this hotel. When I am not on holidays, i spend about 85 days a year on hotel rooms when travelling as part of my job, so I can be quite critical at times, but not with this establishment. The location is outstanding, particularily if you like to do walking tours, or want to make use of the many metro and RER staiIons in Paris, as we did. All of the staff here were extraordinarily friendly and helpful, especially Veronique. The rooms are perfectly sized (for a Parisien hotel), beautifully decorated, everything was very clean, and all the normal amenties you would expect in a classy boutique hotel were present. We will definitely come back again !!!

Room Tip: As with ALL PARIS HOTELS the higher floors are more quieter than the lower floors according to some...

My mum and I stayed at this hotel in October last year and although not as grand to look at as other hotels I've stayed at elsewhere, it was exactly what I was hoping for.
I selected this hotel as it was fairly central to most locations - it's even a manageable stroll to the Eiffel Tower. Although not a short walk, it was a pleasant one and an easy one. There is a bus station really close by and a train station right next door - if you want to be able to walk around Paris in one day (which we did), then this is the place to stay.
The front desk staff were really friendly, helpful and spoke fluent English; the bedroom was exactly what we needed for our 2 night stay. We didn't have a breathtaking view of the city, but the only time we were actually in our room was at night as we were out and about the whole time. The beds were pretty comfortable and the room was comfortable and clean.
We got breakfast as part of our accommodation so we ate in the breakfast room downstairs. It's only a very small restaurant, but the hotel itself isn't big so it was never full in there. There was the nicest lady working in the breakfast room who was really lovely and friendly both mornings - it made an early rise seem ok! The typical European breakfast fare was on offer, but you could also request eggs or bacon cooked in a certain way and this lady would take care of it for you. I had croissants for breakfast both mornings and they were the most delicious I've ever had, so don't think you need to go to a bakery for a good croissant!
All in all, I would recommend this to anyone. Just be mindful that it is a small hotel, so don't be expecting anything spectacular. But what you get for your money is a good location, friendly service, a comfy bed and fantastic croissants!

If I were to stay in a hotel again, in this part of Paris it would be here. I prefer B and B's or here in Paris, to rent an apartment. This is a three star hotel that is very well run (that is to say, France rates their hotels with stars. my review of this three star hotel is that it is very good or four stars on TA). The rooms are clean and well maintained and the staff is friendly and totally fluent in English. While my room was tiny, this is mostly the European experience. You are in Paris and on the Blvd Saint Germain….why would you want to be in your room any longer than necessary ? There are restaurants to each side but had no occasion to try them. I'd ask the desk their opinion of them….there are dozens and dozens of restaurants on the street. Your location is fantastic. Just a short walk to the Seine and Notre Dame. I recommend you see the Cluny museum…also known as the Museum of the Middle Ages…..just down the street, and the Le Marais area, just north of Notre Dame…also just a short walk from the hotel.

Using Trip Advisor's generally glowing reviews to book this stay for a 2 night New Year's Eve trip to Paris, I can only wonder at why people think this hotel is so good and value for money. It is in an excellent location - a 7 minute walk to Notre Dame and cafes and shops in abundance BUT....
- It is on a busy, noisy main road and the windows do not block out the constant traffic noise
- the reception/lobby area is pretty ordinary and there is no bar nor anywhere to sit with friends for more than a short time as there is only one sofa and the rest of the furniture is comprised of small, uncomfortable stools
- our room was NOT modern but was bigger than other European hotel rooms I have stayed in. - -- - The beds were not very comfortable, the bathroom basic and Wifi non-existent in our room except if you stood 2 cm from one wall

Granted the front desk staff were delightful and helpful but the decor was very cheap and not so cheerful, the room was tired with carpet in a style from the 70s-80s and the lift, well only in Paris. Just big enough for one person carrying a small bag!

So all in all I can't give this hotel the review that others rate it at - just overall - average. I can't comment on the breakfast as we didn't eat at the hotel but given there are several cafes in 100m radius I would choose to have my cafe creme and croissant elsewhere!

We travelled to Paris with our two teenagers & stayed in this lovely hotel for four nights. It is modern decorated with luxurious rooms. The service is excellent & the Hotel is located near a small minimart as well as a bakery (just up the road). The Hotel is located to many off the main attractions & definitely worthwhile using. There is free Wi-Fi in all the rooms.

Room Tip: The Hotel has a very small lift, so it is better to stay on the lower levels.

Nice, clean hotel with helpful staff. Room perhaps a little small. Several blocks walking to Notre Dame so it is convenient to that area of Paris. One block from the Seine. Metro access is one block away. Good neighborhood. Great fromage shop close by and they will vacuum pack cheeses for you.

This hotel is well located on the Left Bank within a minute's walk of the metro and near lots of cafe and restaurants. The reception personnel are very helpful and go out of their way to assist guests. Check in and out was speedy. The bedroom is small but that's not unusual for this type of Parisian hotel. It contained everything one would require for stay of a few days. The bathroom is also small but does the business. The weather in Paris was cold when I visited but the bedroom and public areas of the hotel were well heated. Breakfast in the cellar breakfast room cost some 12 euros and food was fresh. Breakfast staff was willing and cheerful. Well run, clean and comfortable hotel that afforded a good night's sleep. Would re-visit.
