in short: it used to be very nice, it becomes average...food isn't really home made. dishes came on the table cold instead of appropriate temperature, industrial fries were still frozen inside... avoid the place and go on bd montparnasse to restaurant basque, same prices but much better food... In le Bistrot they are polite but the food isn't worth it anymore.

“Little neighborhood gem”
Reviewed May 22, 2012 via mobile

Recommended by our hotel we went here and ordered the specials. The proprietor went out of his way to let us know how careful we should be when ordering specials and what questions to ask. Boudreaux was fantastic. Meal was great, service incredible. Go here!

“typical countryside restaurant at reasonnable price”
Reviewed October 8, 2011

we went there with no resa and Georges, the manager managed a small table for the two of us and brought immediately a glass of beaujolais and some saucisson as a welcome. then we took a menu (24 €) and ordred a house paté (delicious and generously served) and a mushroom salad (fresh and crispy). then the effiloché de morue (finely sliced codfish) and a tartar steack with fresh house frites...
although the place is noisy as the time goes by and the bottles get empty...
while in this district, if you're looking for simple but typical french restaurant, it's one of my favourite...
