English friends who live in Paris recommended this place to us and we were SO happy that we got to eat here!!!! For a bistro, the level of service and quality of food was out of this world.
The waitress took the time to explain everything to us in English. We had the La Picana - the Brazilian style beef for two cooked with the fat still on (the fat comes out crispy and oh so delicious). Remember that it is France, where even medium rare is blue, so if you are a medium rare fiend make sure you ask for medium to well done.
The wine list was extensive and could be quite overwhelming if you don't know French wines very well. We asked the waitress for her recommendation and are very glad we did because she chose the perfect wine for us.
If you want a view of the Eiffel Tower, ask when you make the reservation. If you don't end up with a table with a view, just go for a walk before or after dinner and stand on the bridge (less than 100m away) for a perfectly uninterrupted view :) you will also get to see the Statue of Liberty from the bridge.
If you are trying to decide whether to go to L'Ogre or somewhere else, let me make your mind up for you: GO TO L'OGRE! :)
