If you are travelling to Paris by Eurostar to visit the major art galleries and or city centre sights then this hotel is an excellent choice. Its just a couple of minutes walk from the Odeon Metro stop which is on a direct line from Gare du Nord - line 4 and there is a huge choice of restaurants, cafes and sandwich bars in the area. From the hotel its a short walk to the Louvre and Musee D'Orssay and Musee de l"Orangerie.
The hotel itself is a typical Parisian hotel with comfortable well equipped but small rooms. Staff are friendly and helpful. Wifi is free which is a great little extra. Breakfast is 13 Euros.

The hotel's air conditioning system is being renovated, so rooms on the 4th and 6th floor are not available from November 2012 through March 2013. We were informed of this about 3 weeks before our arrival in Paris. We were not able to have our usual room on the top floor and were given a much smaller one on the 5th floor, with a bathtub which was difficult to crawl into with its high sides. Plus the shower sprayed all over, soaking the entire bathroom. The most bizarre thing was the location of the toilet paper. You had to be a contortionist to be able to grab the toilet paper while seated on the toilet. It was located behind the toilet, high up from the tank. It was very noisy during the week as the workers began working very early in the morning. The hallways were dirty and covered in plastic. The elevator had cardboard on the floor and was also dirty.

This is our favorite hotel in Paris and we were disappointed at the condition of things during renovation. It would have been a nice goodwill gesture to reduce the room prices during this inconvenience. Also, on the fifth floor, we were not able to connect to the internet. We had to go to the first floor lobby to connect to tne internet. That was a nuisance. We are looking forward to things getting back to normal.

Great boutique hotel in a superb location! located in saint germain de pres, a very "Local" area of Paris. The hotel is close to everything, especially the buci Latin, where there are very good cafes and bars. close to rennes as well. great shopping street! 2 min walk to the metro station as well...

we stay here all the time we are in Paris. highly recommended!

Room Tip: Grab a deluxe room if you can (street side)

Personally I prefer the hotel before the renovation which has replaced some of the older charming (in my opinion) antique-looking furniture with modern one. Also, the single rooms now only have the shower. Before renovation, I had single rooms with bath tub which I like.

This is a hotel in typical old/small but CHARMING Parisian building like many hotels in Paris so please do not expect big cookie-cutter rooms like in the U.S.

Except for the night time staff who was so so, all the day time staff members and the owner were VERY FRIENDLY, HELPFUL, NICE :) I even ran into the nice owner at nearby Gerard Mulot one day and she recognized me.

Love the location which is off St Germain Blvd and like one block from the Odeon Metro. Close to St Michel subway/RER.

This hotel, like so many have already said, is in a great location just off Boulevard Saint Germain. It is within walking distance of pretty much all the sights and is very close to a number of metro lines and the the RER B (which takes you to and from Charles de Gaulle) and RER C (which takes you to Versailles).

I stayed in a single room which was extremely comfortable and suited my needs perfectly. Some people have already commented about small rooms and bathrooms but I didn't have that experience. My room and bathroom were a decent size. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful.

I can't complain at all, and I would have no problem staying there again when I return to Paris.

Just off Saint Germain, this quaint little hotel has helpful staff and is close to many Paris attractions. As most reviewers have noted the rooms and bathrooms are smallish and of a different layout, but they were quite comfortable for two people. Our room on the fourth floor had two windows overlooking the street and looked out to a University building opposite. We could see the students at work in the morning!

Before booking this hotel I checked it out on TA and noticed the street noise comments. We did not find this a problem, but we always travel with emergency earplugs and live in the inner city of our hometown, so we may be less sensitive to city noise. I generally make a choice of the smaller personal hotels like this where I can, rather than a multinational chain hotel.

Hotel happily looked after our mountains of baggage and arranged efficient transport to Orly for 3 people for 65Euros.

Hotel is centrally located on a quiet street in the left bank close to a metro station and within walking distance of many attractions. Rooms are small, which is normal in Paris, but have
been recently refurbished. The front desk persons should be more knowledgable.
