This hotel offers a comfortable and charming base from which to explore Paris. 150 metres to the Right Bank. 150 meteres to the Left Bank. Exceptionally helpful and informed staff who do their utmost to accomodate any requests. The rooms though on the small size ( and which French hotel room is not on the small side you might ask ) are well appointed, the beds exceptionally comfortable and everything is kept spotlessly clean. I stayed there for eight nights and found it exceptional value. I would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone .

Room Tip: For complete quiet I would suggest rooms at the back of the hotel. However for views and some atmosp...

The location of this hotel cannot be beat, on the middle of Ile de St Louis, steps from Bertillion, numerous cafes and in viewing distance of Notre Dame. The public rooms are charming. This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel (who's price was very reasonable for Paris) but we must get their smallest room. The room has an awkward snteroom/hall which connects it to the main hallway, but the room itself is closet sized with an even smaller bathroom. It could just a touch up of it's decor. However, the front desk stafff are all very helpful and friendly, making suggestions and reservations upon request. We did have our Petit dejeuner dans la chambre ....nothing like coffee, hot milk and pain au chocolate brought to your bed (no matter how tiny) on a silver tray. Ah Paris!! Next time, will request the room in their photo though!

Room Tip: ask for a larger room or the one in the picture!

The location near Notre Dame cannot be beat. There are metro stations nearby, but it is easy to walk to many of the main sites. The streets adjacent to the hotel contain excellent restaurants and cafes. The rooms are small, though in line with many 3 star European Hotels. The rooms shown in the professional photos with the food beamed ceilings are in the front of the hotel and cost more. We thought it was worth it. Though small, there was a lot of storage space--two closets, shelves-- so we were not tripping over suitcases and clothes. A small fridge and a fairly large bathroom. The staff was quite accommodating with hotel reservations and any other requests. There is a 13 Euro breakfast, which is huge. But we preferred to eat at a cafe down the street. We were there for 6 days and felt like regulars after a while. All staff speak English.

After reading the TA reviews we booked this hotel for 6 nights (Sept2012)
Loved the location in the heart of Paris.
Amazing reception staff...when we had issues with our return flight
they called the airlines and helped us even call the USA
We were able to get on our flight only because of their help.
Location is great. A cheese shop and bakery is directly across the narrow street.
A small supermarket is right next door. And Berthillion ice cream four locations close by.Small refrigerator in the room (we had them empty it so we could use all the space) .Free fast WiFi in the rooms. A free computer in their sister hotel a few steps away if you do not have an IPad or laptop with you.We brought the soap, shampoo, skin cream from our cruise ship.Someone on CC suggested bringing your own products. Was a good idea.
Yes the rooms are small.Having been in Paris many times one knows the rooms in most hotels especially in the heart of Paris are small. Safe in the closet. Bathrooms are newly redone with great water pressure in the shower/tub combination.Large step up to get into tub/shower.Tiny elevator. Breakfast at 13 euros p/p was well worth it. We had breakfast for the first two days at the St Regis cafe at the end of the street was 30 euros for two for much less food. Then when we saw the huge breakfast at the hotel we ate there for the next 4 mornings. We used the hotel to call a taxi for us each day. Meter starts when the taxi leaves for the hotel.Or you can walk to Notre Dame 10 minutes to a taxi stand. There is a shared shuttle service to CDG for 35 euros for two.Sign up for this when you check in to the hotel. They were on time with a large van that holds 8 and all the luggage.Airport 2 1/2 hours before flight. Allow 45 minutes pickups and drive to airport. So to be completely relaxed suggest pickup 3 1/2 hours before flight time.
Make sure you know which terminal at CDG you leave from. The driver will need to know that
information.

Room Tip: 112 one flight up, nice layout with a closet on either side of twin beds two large windows open o...

My wife and I stayed at Hotel de Lutece for five nights. It is an absolutely charming, small, and quiet hotel in a delightful area. Our room, while small, was laid out well. It had two comfortable twin beds pushed together, which was just fine, and a small writing desk. The bathroom was perfect with all the amenities one could ask for and the closet was quite adequate and had plenty of hangers. The hotel staff was ever so accommodating and eager to please. The person on duty at the front desk was always willing and very able to make suggestions for activities, sites to see, and restaurants to enjoy. The reservations made for us always pleased us. The hotel breakfast was perfect in getting each day started. The area of this hotel is ideal---the street is filled with lots of lovely shops, restaurants of all varieties, and many sidewalk cafes. Adding a few more blocks to your walk you could find even more shopping, sites to see, and restaurants and the subway was close by for longer excursions. It was so nice to stay at a hotel that was quiet and peaceful. We immensely enjoyed our stay and will be repeat customers on our next trip to Paris.

Room Tip: Wed in room stayed in Room 434 which overlooked the courtyard. It was delightful but I imagine all...

We recently stayed at Hotel de Lutece for one night after 8 nights in the Burgundy region. Our room was small but efficient. All furnishings were well-appointed although the mattress was worn to the point of being canted to the walkway side of the bed. The staff was very helpful and spoke English well. We felt this hotel definitely met our needs for our brief stay.

I have just returned from a wonderful week in Paris , staying at this beautiful hotel. The best thing about it is the friendly and helpful staff. They were all extremely polite, unobtrusive and professional in every way. The location is superb with excellent restaurants and bistros nearby and the Left Bank and Marais are within easy walking distance. `I would certainly stay there again next time!
