A luxurious, impeccably clean and comfortable perfectly located hotel. The service was very attentive and considerate. Really outstandingly kind and capable. Way above the norm in courtesy and consideration. Ten minutes walk to the Luxembourg gardens.

We booked two rooms here for five nights with our children ( teenages). I thought that given the price and compared to other hotels in the area this one did a great job. Nicely decorated and clean with reasonably spacious rooms and bathrooms. The staff were all very friendly and answered our questions well. Staff speak English well which was handy for those difficult questions we had to ask.

The location of this hotel is excellent as it is right next door to the Pantheon and within walking distance to most of the attractions in Paris, restaurants, shops and the beautiful Luxemburg gardens are only five minutes away. Just get a map and start walking. If you walk behind the hotel there is a supermarket ( 3 minute walk) to stock up on wine, beer and a good selection of food items.

The rooms themselves are beautifully decorated in that old French way with colourful wall paper and pictures. Our rooms were overlooking the Pantheon on the second and third floors. Due to its location there is some noise but really for a major city next to a popular attraction it was great. The other guests staying here were mostly couples so there was no noise from young children.

I really did not have any faults with the hotel and will stay here again next time we are in Paris.

Just a note on Breakfasts.
They do have what looks like a good breakfast service at the hotel. 13 euros for a decent amount of food. We did not use it as we were up and out very early. Starbucks is just down the road were I could get a decent tea and coffee and toasted sandwich for half the price of other places. They also for yogurt and pancakes for 5 euros.

Beware of the breakfasts in Paris as you can get really ripped off. 7 euro for a coffee and roll. The coffee was terrible where ever we went. I think us Australians are spoiled when it comes to a good cup of coffee. Eggs and bacon with toast can set you back 15 euro for a very measly amount . My advice buy some juice, bread roll and jam from the supermarket and store in your refrigerator. Then grab a reasonable coffee at Starbucks 8 minute walk away.

Would recommend this as great hotel for couples or families with older children ( book two rooms).

Marvelous experience... Room 15... I rote "Enchantement" in a former review but there is even better with room 15 which the hotel gave me at the rate of a standard room... Just see the pictures and imagine yourself there just for a couple of days. Service is staying at the same quality level which is very rare in Paris and in the services business overall.

Room Tip: Room 15 if you can afford is a marvel

Stayed with my sister here during our Eurropean tour in mid Juy. Very good value for money. Staff very helpful and friendly. Lovely breakfast which helped to start off the day. Loved the excellent location in historical part, in the heart of Paris Close proximity to attractions. I would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: choose room with a view

We recently stayed here after a Baltic cruise and a few days in Normandy in July. What a lovely hotel! We dropped off our rental car at Charles de Gaulle Airport, and took the RER train right into the city to the Luxembourg stop.....so easy. The hotel is just a short walk away. The front desk staff couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. They called for a taxi to bring us to Pont d'Alma for our Seine River cruise (it was there in 3 minutes!), and arranged for a car to take us to the airport the next day. Our room (#31) wasn't huge, but probably large by Paris standards, and oh, so comfortable! We had 2 large windows that overlooked the Pantheon and the beautiful pink geraniums in the window boxes outside our windows. The bed was large (we're used to a king, and were very comfortable), and the mattress was very comfortable. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, so I can't comment on that. The location of this hotel is perfect....many shops and excellent cafes right down the street, and the Pantheon right outside the door. Beautiful Luxembourg Gardens in very close by and well worth a stroll through it. This was a great way to end a wonderful trip. If we're ever lucky enough to visit Paris again, we'll definitely stay at Hotel des Grands Hommes!

Room Tip: Spend the few extra dollars for a deluxe room with a view.....you're in Paris!
