“Very good innovative Bistro food”
Reviewed March 7, 2013 via mobile

We ate here based on reviews on Trip Advisor. It was right behind our apartment building where we stayed for our week in Paris. Just a few blocks away from the Tour D'Eiffel but a very neighborhood place. We arrived at 8 without a reservation and they were able to accommodate us but in a few more weeks I would suggest making one. They are not open Saturday and Sunday. Their prix fix menu is $35 but we ordered off the blackboard because we liked the sound of the dishes even though there were up charges. My husband had the butter nut squash soup with foie gras, my son had the grilled shrimp with cannelli beans and I had the asparagus with mushrooms for starters. For main course I had a white fish with risotto and they had rare tuna with foie gras. All wonderful. For dessert my husband had the molten chocolate cake and my son and I had cheese. They were very busy so the service was polite and efficient. They spoke English well. It was one of the best meals we have had in Paris.

“A notch above other bistros”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

From the warm welcome, old-fashioned ambiance, English menu with creative dishes and variety, three courses at 32E, an amuse bouche of delectably smooth pate to the outstandingly delicious desserts, this bistro stands out. If we had time, we'd go back just to sample other offerings.

The quail confit in goose fat and mushrooms served with a strip of mashed potatoes was the perfect main for a cold wintery Paris evening. My wife had the hake offering. It was generous and moist. Nothing was left on our plates, but a few quail bones!

It was the combination of flavors offered by the desserts that sealed the deal. We left feeling contented that we had just enjoyed one of the best value bistro dinners in Paris. We'll definitely return when next in town.

“Excellent bistro/Restaurant near Eiffel Tower”
Reviewed February 22, 2013 via mobile

Great little restaurant with a regularly changing menue. The decor is so Parisian and helps create a great atmosphere. The service is excellent and the prices compare very favourably with other establishments in the neighborhood and much cheaper than in the centre. Give it a try but get there early as without a booking you may be unlucky.

We were having lunch when our server recomended this lttle restaurant for dinner by the Eiffel Tower. We had great service and everthing cooked perfectly and tasted fantastic. It was our last night in Paris but we commented that if we were there longer we would be back.
