We are always looking for new restaurants in Paris and my husband and I consider this a find. We had an exquisite risotto with cockles, lovely scallops on a bed of pureed cabbage and beef on carrot puree, a molten chcolate cake and the house special-grand marnier souffle. Everything was perfectly prepared. Even the bread was warm and delicious. It is a tiny restaurant and the tables are close together but that adds to the ambiance. It was an very enjoyabe meal and we will go back.

Walked in for lunch after wandering around in Montmartre, following Lonely Planet and TripAdvisor recommendation. It was around 1:45 PM on a Thursday, and I got the last available table. Delicious and well prepared food (entrée + plat). Not surprisingly, the chef was there, talking to the people on a table after everyone was served. Very nice house wine. Cozy ambiance. Attentive service and friendly staff. Highly recommend and would definitely come back!

My husband and I had only one night in Paris during our Europe tour and I searched Trip Advisor for a close restaurant that was good to eat at for dinner. We were staying in a 3 star in Rue Victor Masse and Le Pantruche turned out to be a couple of buildings walk. Less than 20 metres. We walked in at 7.30pm and noticed it was small and busy. Not sure if we could get a place but asked if there was availability for dinner. The Maitre D' if we were able to sit for a meal. We were then asked if we could be finished by 9.30pm. Of course! Yes it is a set menu and it was also then that I noticed that the other waiter taking reservations at the counter had a tome! We were informed by our waiter that it is normal for 3 week in advance bookings. All good and we were winning. Potato and Leek soup and Veal shoulder with Chantarelles. Divine. We chose not dessert this time but honestly, if you are visiting Paris, this is a must visit. Beautiful food with impeccable service.

I had a rummage through the Michelin guide's Bib Gourmand range and selected this small place as having potential for a decent meal without spending a fortune.

A welcome straight out of the guide on how not to run a restaurant, tables so close you have to shuffle them like those puzzles with the moving squares, but the redeeming feature is decent food at reasonable prices. The veal was delicate and tasty, smoked pear dessert with chestnuts was very good. Portion sizes are medium so three courses worth considering if you've been walking around Paris all day. Menu is on a board in french but helpful waiters happy to translate. Wine by the glass is well priced.

Just off Rue des Martyrs which is an interesting place to walk around with a good range of cafes, patisseries, greengrocers and charcuteries.

Food is ok - but in no way imaginative or surprising.
Service is ok and no more.
The famous dessert souffle was eggy and hardly tasted of Grand Marnier!
Price is higher than the food and the service justifies.
Pantruche is "correct" and nothing more.
