Upon researching for bars/restaurants in rediness for our romantic trip to Paris we were able to read up about Bar Candelaria on the '100 best bars in the world' website and due to our hotel located a 2 mins walk away it was something not to a miss! We also decided to make this our venue for our 1st meal during our stay in the Marais area of Paris. And some experience it was!!. We started in the cocktail area at the back (through a small door at the rear of the eating area) The cocktails were 12Euros a pop bottled beers 7Euros! So the budget took a swipe before we really got going!! Although the bar area is very quirky with candles offering the only light it generated a really nice ambience. The staff were very friendly and were more than willing to talk about anything and everything with the word Paris in it! All the tables were reserved wich obviously confirmed its popularity towards the trendy/chic Parisian crowd that decended an hour or so later. It was buzzing! We then made our way back into the eating area at the front which i can only describe as something like a small kebab style takeaway shop! There is only 1 table for 4 and approx 8 stools at the bar.
