It is beautiful indeed and the gardens make for the most scenic spot in Paris in our opinion. However, we weren’t able to go inside and visit the interior. If we were, my review would have most likely been a 5! The palace guards were an added bonus.

We took the metro to get within a few blocks of here. Wanted to see the building and the grounds. Walking from south to north through several blocks of Horse Walnut trees was a bit sketchy, but once you get to the gardens and the building its really beautiful. Many areas to sit and relax, also a few street vendors selling drinks and food.
The palace of Luxembourg is a very nice place to visit and spend a few hours when in Paris for sure.
Built as a royal residence in the early seventeenth century, the palace is now the seat of the French Senate. The palace is surrounded by beautiful gardens which are open to the public.
Lots of shaded chairs and benches for resting your eyes for a few minutes. I saw a lot of locals and even ducked into a free art museum/gallery area.
This was Marie's palace, now serves government functions, and there is a good expo art gallery on the side. Beautiful sight from the exquisite Jardin du Luxembourg, Paris' most beautiful park.
