From the outside this does not look like a typical European Catholic Church. It's been through a lot ( 3 builds ) . At one point ( in 1837 ) it was even suggested that it become a train station. The inside, while not opulent, it is worth a visit. Inside, the church has a single nave with three domes, that are not visible from the outside. Before you leave, take a few moments and enjoy the view from the top of the steps

This one was built by Napoleon and looks more like a Greek temple than a Christian church. The outside bathrooms are famous for their lavish design. Itside the church is very dark.

This church is not a destination by itself, but when coupled with Palais Garnier (Opera House) it is a great stop. Spend 15 to 20 minutes on the visit and you get to see a magnificent alter and a historic church. They also have concerts in the evening which looked fabulous.

I love this church, I have been here many times. Once during a wedding and also during a mass. It is a special church in my opinion. I love all the pillars. When in Paris, don't miss this one.
