The little island in the middle of the city in the center of the Seine. This is where you can find the famous Berthillon Parisian ice cream.

This is a good area for a quiet stroll while you shop, or just window shop, at the numerous boutiques and patisseries.
The narrow streets are relatively quiet compared to Ile de la Cite just across the road.
You can spend as long as you want walking through the streets and the look of some of the foods on display means you will, sooner or later, give in to temptation and enjoy it as well.
We came here from Notre Dame and it was nice to get away from the hustle and crowds.

After mass we strolled around the area...saw street performers, lots of locals and spent some time just sitting and watching the world go by. Beautiful to look at all the balconies with their flower boxes.

There is much to see, do, and eat in this area. I would highly recommend simply walking around and see what you would like to enjoy that day!

Its a quaint place just after the Notre Dame. You could walk endlessly along the narrow lanes and check out the many boutique stores in the area. You could sit down at the cafe and see the world go by or just indulge in Choclates, Cookies and Ice cream. Take 3-4 hrs and enjoy this place.
