“Quiet island in the Metropolis”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

It's so closely linked to the Ile de la Cite and the Right Bank that you don't really realize hopping on and off it until you realized that that somehow the street noise dies down around you. There are only two main street on tis little island, and some tour-book worthy attractions like Bertillon ice-cream, etc. But the best thing is to browse from store to store, gawking the elegant apartments and think how much you need to make to get one of those (hint - a lot, just look at the window of real estate offices).

“Beautiful slice of haven amongst a busy city.”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

We enjoyed our short but relaxing stroll around Ile St.-Louis. We stopped at Amorino's for our personal favourite ice-cream. Loved hearing the accordian players that were at either side connecting St.-Louis to Ile de la Cite. Beautiful views of the river Seine. Would recommend!!

“Lesser known island has great character”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

Wow. We loved this part of town, Streets were cleaner. Atmosphere bright and there is always music to entertain. A visit to Berthillion on Ile st Louis is a must. The flavours - yum. Eat your ice cream on the step of the seine.

“INTIMATE AND QUAINT WALK AROUND”
Reviewed October 3, 2012

Just a short walk from Notre Dame, an island of narrow streets and shops. Don't miss the ice cream. You can then walk to the Latin Quarter on the left bank.

“ice cream!!”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

Peaceful streets and numerous cafes/restaurants selling delicious ice cream in dozens of flavours.
I returned twice for the ice cream in a 4-day stay...
