Just like the reviewer below, this is my favorite square in Paris. If that how you could call it. I would say its a roundabout. A very calm one, with very little traffic. I like to go around this square and end up in nearby Galerie Vivienne and later the gardens of the Royal Palace.

Mine, is this elegant circular square with fashion boutiques, much photographed in day light,which morphs into sheer magic by night lights. its surrounded by by lovely low rise buildings with the centre showpiece ,the guy on his horse,The sun-god Louis XIV,standing at a regal 12 m height.
It does not matter how many times you criss- cross this area ,it brings joy and with less traffic,a convenient conduit to another favourite,the Place des Petits-Peres on route to the peaceful formal gardens of the Palais Royal.
Your best metro stops are Bourse,Etienne Marcel and Pyramides.

A nice quiet little square surrounded by upmarket shops. There is also a covered passafeway of shops clode by. The high point is a fine equestrian statue. Worth a stop not a special trip.

A circular Place where 6 streets converge but is calm compared to most roundabouts in Paris. The place is impressive due to the uniform and elegant architecture. An impressive statue of King Louis 14th dominates the central area. Upmarket shopping area nearby. Just north of Les Halles with lots of attractions nearby. A fascinating area.
