We absolutely loved this location. We stayed for 10 days for our 40th Anniversary. The location was close to the metro, traiin and many of the historic sites, including Notre Dame, Sainte Chappelle, etc. We were just around the corner from many great restaurants and small shops and loved strolling along the Seine and visiting the Bouquinistes along the way. At the end of the block was a wonderful outdoor creperie that I visited almost daily for a guilty pleasure.

The staff was very helpful in giving directions, contacting our shuttle service, summoning a taxi and doing everything they could to make our stay perfect. the staff had learned that it was our anniversary and placed champagne and a sweet note wishing us a happy honeymoon in our room.

After reading negative comments on the size of many hotel rooms, we were a bit apprehensive, but The room was as large as our master bedroom at home, so we felt very comfortable. Americans need to remember that apartments and hotel rooms are not as large as American ones. The mattress was nice and firm and having control of our own heat was wonderful as was opening our windows on warmer days. The bathtub was a great soaking tub and it was a relief after long days of walking to soak in the tub with the bath salts provided.

We enjoyed the 24 hour coffee, hot chocolate service and looked forward to our "nightcap" as the end to every perfect day. We would not hesitate to stay at this location again. Thank you for all you did to make my dreams come true in "April in Paris!" I felt like I was in a made for TV romance movie!

We stayed here because it is an apartment hotel, and I have celiac disease. It worked quite well; I had breakfast in our studio room, and my husband went to the hotel breakfast and enjoyed all the French pastry. Ironically, the Holborn Citadines in London had gluten free bread from France, but the one in Paris did not.
The staff was very helpful, the place was immaculate, and the location was wonderful! Our room did not have a river view, but we were so tired in the evening it did not matter. There is no restaurant, but there are so many all around the hotel it does not matter.
If you stay here and take the RER B from CDG airport or from Gare Nord to the Saint Michel - Notre Dame stop, look for the directions to the Rue Xavier Privas exit. There is a lift to the street, and you can trek two blocks west to the hotel. We found this before we left; wish we had known about it on our way to the hotel.
The location is perfect! Biggest drawback - no toll free number for the U.S, I did everything via the internet.

Room Tip: Someone mentioned noise. We were on the third (second in Europe) floor in a back room overlooking a small patio. It was very quiet; no noise issues at all.

Indeed, the longish title sums up what's remarkable about this modernly-quaint, to coin a description, Apartment Hotel on the left bank of the river seine.
Sadly, our one bedroom apartment was not river facing but in the rear of the property. However it was well appointed and quiet and kind of "cute" given its split level layout with the living room with its double sofa cum bed downstairs as also the kitchen and the toilet and the main bedroom and the shower upstairs! Sounds bizarre and it is a bit let me say- but we got used to this pretty quickly and got on with life, welcoming the opportunity to get some extra exercise in taking the lovely wooden stairway that curved upstairs to the bedroom.

People make the difference is something we often say when describing businesses or hotels. This truly played out at the Citadines Saint Germain des pres! The staff at the front desk- all of them, across shifts, was competent, helpful and courteous. I must single out the ever smiling and super efficient Sofia as well as Elsa- who though relatively new at the property, was ever willing to help with facilities and directions or anything else we needed.
A lot of credit goes to Mr Manh Tuong Trinh- the affable Guest Relation Manager, who wears his love for the job he's done for 30 years with the ease of a freshman and the aplomb of a senior Pro! One would believe that his customer delight ethos has played a large part in the way people at the hotel look after every customer. Sitting in the sky light warmed bright lobby, sipping cups of complementary tea or coffee or hot chocolate- available round the clock out of a well positioned machine- one couldn't help observing how every guest was attended to with full attention and efficiency by the lobby managers and the front office folks.

Great location too- minutes away from the Notre dam, Saint Michel Boulevard, Pont Neuf and from there all the way to the Louvre, Champs Élysées, the Arc de Triumph as well as Musee D'Orsay, Latin quarter, Montraprannase, Saint Germain Boulevard and high fashion shopping at Rue Royal. Well connected by Metro to the Palace of Versailles, Eiffel Tower- just 3 stops- Palais Royale, the Napoleons museum, Pantheon and thro Montraprannase, the Catacombs.
The location is not just beautiful and strategic in terms of where it is in Paris( Notre Dam is the geographical centre of the city!), but also eliminates Euros of travel cost and promotes walking! I still have not mentioned the magnificent gardens- Jardines de Tulleries, through which one walks once past the Louvre and the Concorde Plaza. Or Jardines de Luxembourg a couple of blocks down on Boulevard St Michel.
Back to the hotel and our apartment, I must add that the kitchen was fully equipped with whatever one could need- from crockery to cutlery to utensils, a kettle, toaster and cleaning materials. So it's easy to churn out breakfast or a home cooked meal!
To summarise, we truly loved the place and would recommend it every time and go back to it too!

We had three nights here after an extended trip through Belgium and France and were looking for a classy Hotel in a perfect location at a good price - we found it! The location couldn't have been better for exploring Paris, right on the river and just across from the Notre Dame. Very friendly and obliging front of house staff helped us get around and pointed out the locations of ATMs, supermarkets etc so we could make the most of the in room kitchen and save our money for activities elsewhere. Excellent clean quiet rooms, three of us spread out over the suite, and free coffee in the lobby was a bonus! Free wifi was very good speed also. Would definitely stay here again next time.

Je ne parle pas bien français - parle anglais. We love this hotel - in the best neighborhood in Paris, close to great restaurants and food markets where we shop and bring home vin rouge, baguette, e fromage. We will be back. Kirsten Weinoldt
