We stayed for 4 nights in an executive apartment, 2 adults and 2 kids. The location is great, a short walk to the louvre, notre dame and boulevard st michel and right beside pont neuf. The apartment was spacious but unfortunately not very well maintained, however the issues we highlighted were fixed quickly. Overall a good experience and I would recommend it for families with little ones, as the apartments are a good size, by paris standards and the location is fantastic.

We were really looking forward to staying at this hotel with our 6 and 8 year olds and had booked it due to the good reviews on Tripadvisor.

We arrived having had a four hour epic journey from Disneyland (which should have taken half an hour but for a broken down train). Our youngest also had a sick bug so not the best start. We arrived at the hotel at 4pm and went to check in (which was stated as from 2pm) slightly on our knees by this point.

We had a highly unhelpful gentleman on reception checking us in (I think he was rather annoyed that we didn't speak much French). Having politely requested in advance a high room with a view of the river if possible (per the Tripadvisor suggestions), we were told that these were for club apartments, not the 1 bed apartment that we had booked. A bit disappointing given that our was costing nearly 300 euros a night on a room only basis. The gentleman was quite brusque and said that Tripadvisor was full of wrong information.

He then said was that our room wouldn't be ready until at least 5. When we asked if he could possibly find a room that was ready as our son was unwell, he simply reiterated that check-in was only ever from (rather than at) 2pm and they were busy. He said that we could store our luggage, walked over to where my family was sat with my cases and wanted to put them into the store room immediately. Unfortunately we hadn't packed anything so wanted 5 minutes to put some things in a rucksack so that we could go out for a walk. He looked highly irritated and marched back to reception.

We sorted ourselves out in five minutes and went back to queue with our cases so they could be stored. He pointedly ignored us for a good twenty minutes and served everybody before and after us. Eventually in desperation I went up to a lady on the reception to ask again if we could drop off our cases. She looked extremely surprised that a room couldn't be found and within a couple of minutes, had found a room for us (and was very friendly and helpful).

To be honest, the way we were treated by that one person overshadowed the rest of the stay.
Trying to be objective, the apartment was a surprisingly good size with a double bedroom and a sofa bed (which I hadn't realised was two singles but they were comfortable for adults). The apartment was on the first floor and overlooked an internal courtyard. The bedroom slightly bizarrely looked straight onto the reception area and the check in desk (a little ironic..). It was a bit dated and not terribly bright but good overall. Wifi worked really well in our room and was free.

The location was great, right opposite the island, and about 5 minutes stroll to the Metro. Loads of lovely places to eat a little south of the hotel. One of the best things about the hotel was the free tea, coffee and hot chocolate machine in reception - great given some of the prices in Paris. The hotel had kindly provided disposable cups with lids so you could take your coffee back to the room. The breakfast looked ok but nothing special so we went out to the cafes.

When we returned to the hotel at 4pm on the day of our departure to collect our cases, we had a wry smile as the next batch of customers were trying to check in only to be told that their rooms weren't ready as they were so busy...

It's a shame that the check-in process spoiled an otherwise good hotel but for us, it never really recovered after that.

This aparthotel was the answer to my prayers when I travelled with my 1 year old son.
The studio apartment we stayed in had everything we needed. Superb facilities in room which was like a home away from home. Could make up his all his meals, use microwave, Kettle, wash bottles etc. All cutlery provided. Free Wifi. Probably would opt for the bigger apartments next time as he gets a little older but was perfect at this age. Walked outside and was at the centre of everything. Free coffee/tea was a bonus coming in from the cold! Staff were very professional and Friendly to baby

Room Tip: Studios are small but functional. Would opt for an apartment with more than 1 child or older child

The location of this hotel could not be beat. In the heart of a great, lively neighborhood and right on the Seine with easy access to everything. The lobby was very clean, check-in was simple and the staff was very professional welcoming.

The room is not "luxurious" by any means, but very clean and functional. I would put the room on the small side especially for the price, but I realize this is typical of Europe and especially Paris. All necessities were there and it would be a great place to serve as a base for visiting Paris, especially for an extended period of time or with children.

All in all--Citadines St. Germain is a great place in the heart of one of the best areas of Paris and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

This was the perfect place to stay during my last trip to Paris. Having a fully equipped kitchen was a great amenity and I made full use of it. Free WiFi is much appreciated. My 7th floor room was quite large. Housekeeping was good. The bed was comfy.

Given that my goal for this trip was to visit some museum and gallery shows, the location was key. The hotel is a very easy walk to many museums. If you need the Metro or RER, the hotel is about a block away from the St. Michel station.

Chose for location, and ability to have breakfast in room, in expensive - for everything- city. Also as two female travellers needed twin room, and not to be on top of one another space wise.
Paris hotel rooms notoriously small, our was functional, well planned and convenient with all you would need for light meals. We had no view but weren't over concerned, free tea, coffee, etc in lounge area a nice touch. Very efficient, would recommend for any travellers apart from those looking for boutique/ romance or luxury.

We arrived cold and wet on one of the coldest days in recent history. The checkin clerk offered us free coffee and hot chocolate - Citadines was off to a great start! Unfortunately, due entirely to my own fault, the checkin date was wrong - we had arrived a day earlier than my reservation. It took a few minutes to sort out (while we drank the coffee and chocolate) but Citadines were able to accommodate us in a suite as booked.

The suite comprised bedroom, small living room, kitchen and bathroom. All were adequately furnished and equipped, though rather cheaply and not quite to the standard implied in the hotel website photos. Notwithstanding, everything we needed was supplied and worked.

The great thing about this hotel is the location - 50 meters from Pont Neuf, close to Notre Dame, Boulevard Ste Michel and all the funky Left Bank attractions. There are two metro stations (one of which is on the RER line from the airport) within 300 metres.

We only had breakfast on our last day. It wasn't bad but better value can be had buying bread and cereals etc nearby and eating in your room. The in-house laundry was excellent and not too expensive. The lobby area was often very busy with tour groups and airline crews arriving and departing en masse. Despite this, the staff were always friendly and very helpful.

The Citadines is by no means a luxury hotel. However it provides a very acceptable level of accommodation, well equipped suite, fantastic location and really friendly, helpful staff. Recommended.
