We stayed at the Citadines Suites Louvre, in Paris from the 13th to the 28th of September 2013. We had stayed there a few times in the past. Our stays were always good. The place has been totally renovated without destroying its character.
The location cannot be better. It is a few hundred feet from Le Louvre, close to Place de l'Opéra Garnier, with a métro station on line one just nearby. The view from our suite was on Place André Malreaux, la Comédie française (severa centuries old) and le Palais royal. One cannont ask for better.
We stayed in a studio. A good size by Paris standards. The equipment is ultra modern, in fact so modern that we had to ask for assistance to figure out how some components worked. For instance, we had never seen a washer and dryer being a single appliance. It works perfectly. The place was very comfortable and the service excellent. The staff is very competent and super friendly. We had a good time in Paris..
The only negative point is related to the air conditionning. As we were in the second part of September, the hotel, we were told, had moved from the air conditionning mode to the heating mode. The problem is that during the second week of our stay, there was a heat spell and there was no air conditionning. We were supplied with a fan. That helped a bit but not much.
On the overall, we highly recommend the Citadines Suites Louvre in Paris

Dear Guests,

It was a pleasure welcoming you again at Citadines Suites Louvre. We are always happy to have feedbacks from Guests having known our Residence before renovation and we are very pleased to hear that you appreciated your stay and that above all that you still feel at home and the very special character and charm of our Residence.

We would like to thank you for your compliments, epically concerning our staff members, your kind words will be shared with them.

However we are sorry for the inconvenience you experienced concerning the air conditioning. As you mentioned, having had cooler temperatures in September we had moved to the heating mode in mid September. Please be assured that we are now working on this issue in order to be able to offer the choice of both modes to our Guests in the future.

We thank you for your fidelity and we look forward to the pleasure of welcoming you again soon at Citadines Suites Louvre.

We booked 6 nights at the Citadines Suites Louvre Paris and were very happy with our choice. The hotel itself was recently re-furbished and is clean and beautifully decorated. We were greeted by a very competent and professional staff. The Grand Suite was very well appointed and extremely comfortable. Our suite had a kitchen with a dishwasher, washer/dryer combination, Nespresso coffee maker, microwave, two burner cooktop, utensils and dishes. The vast bedroom closet had enough hangers for our clothes and a small chest of drawers. The vanity in the bedroom had a large mirror, but not enough light to use it. The bathroom is beautifully tiled and had adequate room. An iron and ironing board and hair dryer are provided. The location is absolutely perfect; you are able to walk to the metro and the Louvre. There are great restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast is offered for an additional cost. You could not ask for more in a hotel while staying in Paris.
The one (slight) negative was the noise on the street at night. We were on Floor 3 and, even with the windows closed, we heard traffic and talking, especially on the weekend. Our ear plugs came in handy! Don't let this sway your decision to stay here. It is the best!

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing the street since noise could be a problem if you are a light sleeper.

This is a very well located hotel, with wide rooms with a really nice decoration! Stayed her for 5 nights and was totally comfortable. Good kitchen, television, wardrobe, bed, everything. Plus, you are just a steps from the Louvre. Lovely place, would totally go again!

My husband and I just stayed at this hotel and enjoyed our stay. This hotel is in a great location, close to a metro station, and a lot of shops on Opera street. The room was a good size, and it was great to have a kitchen that included a fridge, dishwasher, microwave, stove, dishes and cutlery. The bed was large and comfortable as well.

The front desk staff spoke English which was great, but a miscommunication happened when I asked for my clothes to be washed (complimentary!) and I was told it would take two hours, but instead I didn't get the clothes back until the next day. Because of this, they gave us a box of chocolate and a complimentary breakfast at the hotel. The breakfast usually costs 20 Euros a person. We really liked the breakfast. It was a buffet and included coffee/tea/freshly squeezed juice, eggs, sausage, breads and pastries, fruits, yogurt, and cheese. It was so good that we went back the next day even though we had to pay that time.

The only negatives I can say is that the bathroom was a little small, and there are apartments or offices right across from the hotel so people can look into your room if you don't close your drapes.

Apparently this is the first Suites Hotel that Citadines has opened and they have only been open since April 2013 according to the Concierge.

We booked a Premiere Suite and were lucky to get an upgrade into a Grand Suite on arrival. Everything is all new and clean and the room had a nice Queen bed. The Grand has another room with a love seat and coffee table and there is also a small round table with two chairs that we set up the laptop and charging area for our mobiles.

The Suite has a full galley kitchen with small fridge, combo washer/dryer and even a dishwasher. There is a two element range top and range hood/exhaust. All the required utensils, kettle, toaster, coffee maker is all there too. Perfect for having morning breakfast and prepping lunch or snacks. We sampled French cuisine externally so did not make any big meals there - but you could!

Our room on the 2nd floor (labelled floor 1 since the reception is labelled floor 0) faced the Place with two lovely fountains. We were there on the cusp of heating and cooling and they had just turned off the A/C (by law apparently) and we had to open windows to let in cool air. On the lower floor it's a quick trip up.down a set of stairs but the street noise with the windows open was quite loud. A higher floor might be better for noise.

Complimentary WiFi and afternoon fresh squeezed juices and tea/coffee were provided in the main floor lounge along with daily newspapers in a few languages.

Lots of staff on hand and all were superb!

Room Tip: Higher floors might have less street noise. (only noticeable with windows open). We had #103

My travel agent found this hotel for me as part of a travel package. I was thrilled. We stayed 7 nights and loved it all. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was very large, with a small kitchen that allowed us to have breakfast in the room and keep wine and water in the frig. It was extremely clean and well maintained. The location was really wonderful as we could easily walk to the Louvre and enjoy the gardens at night and use it as a landmark for walking trips. It was close to a bus stop and train station. I was thrilled with the hotel and would recommend it.
