“Wonderful hotel in great location.”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

We enjoyed our stay at the Albe hotel. Walking distance to most places and the metro is steps away. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Very comfortable bedding and large towels. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 5th floor and had a nice view of a portion of the river.

Just spent 5 nights at the Hotel D'Albe. My friends and I loved the location. It's just a block or so from Notre Dame, steps from the St. Michel metro...could not ask for a more convenient location. It's in the latin quarter, just off the Seine, with small winding pedestrian streets filled with restaurants and shops. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were small, but clean, nice bathroom, good AC, beds VERY soft, and street noise could be heard at night, even on the 4th floor. But, it really wasn't an issue and to be expected in this busy neighborhood. All in all...a great stay!

We stayed at the Hotel D'Albe St Michel in the second week of May 2013. The location is very convenient. A quick 5-7 minute from the Notre Dame and again walking distance from some fantastic restaurants in Paris' Latin Quarter. Also, the St. Michel station is a 2 minute walk and is convenient to connect to most parts of Paris.
There are also quite a few options in the same street as the hotel. There is a patisserie right next door which is a great breakfast option. The street is nice and lively in the evenings and has lots of options for food.
The room, while small, was clean. The bathroom was very small, but again, clean and functional. Our room had a balcony that looked out to the Seine, though the balcony was too small to really spend much time there, it still was a nice touch.
The staff at the hotel were very helpful throughout our stay, right through helping us with leaving our bags there since we got there really early and they didnt have a room ready, and to making reservations for us at some Paris Shows and restaurants. Since we didn't speak french, they accommodated all requests to find information for us and were generally very helpful and friendly. Also they spoke good English. This really really helped us during our trip.
Overall, a really pleasant experience. I would definitely consider booking this hotel again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room higher up, with a view of the Seine

The location of this hotel is perfect. Very centrally located for visiting all the major attractions. We were there for the Fete de la Musique and booked a corner unit with a view of the river (very slight view and not worth the extra price), the unit had a sliver of a balcony for us to observe the performers below. The noise outside was deafening but when the windows were closed our room was comfortable. We could still hear the revelry below but it was shocking how well insulated the windows were. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The strangest thing was they ask you to leave the key at the front desk when you leave the hotel and get it from the front desk when you return. Overall, we were very happy with the hotel.

Room Tip: Corner rooms with view do not seem worth the additional cost. The balcony is a sliver that is only...

Central location close to Place St Michel, very handy for metro and RER only 80 meters away. The hotel is close to many eating establishments both restaurants and take away, there is an excellent patisserie with an outside eating area adjoining the hotel. The hotel staff are very pleasant and all I came across spoke excellent English. The rooms are smallish but very clean, ours had a very small balcony from which we could see the River Seine, which is only 150meters away. Notre Dame is only a short walk away.
Overall we were delighted with the Hotel and would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: We were very pleased with our room it was 537 on the 5th floor. The higher the floor the quieter it...

I spent four Business-days in Paris in May, and stayed two of these days at D'Albe. I can't say this stay stands out as as anything special - averge, clean rooms, average service, but a very nice location. I did not try the breakfast at the hotel, and my experience is that the best thing is to try out a differnt restaurant each day - there are "a million" for them in the neighborhoods.

We stayed at Hotel D'Albe for our honeymoon during the second week of June. When I was looking for a hotel in Paris, it needed to have the following attributes which Hotel D'Albe had:
- clean/modern rooms
- air conditioning
- a shower
- white bedspreads that are washed with each new guest...
- affordable since we were spending the majority of our money on expensive dinners and shopping
Some pluses of the hotel were: very close to a taxi line area where you can always find a taxi fast (important if you are late for a dinner reservation...you have no idea how hard it can be to find a taxi in some areas of paris), blackout shades, elevator, a comfortable bed, umbrellas for the hotel guests to use if its raining, decent blow dryer, a surprisingly spacious and smart closet space (it fits a lot of stuff and there is room to fit a couple suitcases in a storage area separate from your clothes), the AC was very very cold which we appreciated, the area around the hotel is vibrant, they have a grocery store across the street to buy water bottles from, it is in a good central location and we walked to most places during the day, I emailed the front desk to make all our dinner reservations for us a few months ahead of time.
Some cons of the hotel: the toilet is in its own enclosed space and its teeny tiny, so if you are very tall, you will have your knees against the wall if you are sitting down, I'm not sure if that was just our room, but maybe you should talk to the front desk when you are booking about different options. I would have liked to have an option of having my sheets changed daily, they didn't provide one of those cards, and I'm not sure how often they changed them...The hotel is hard for taxis to find, so circle it on a map before you leave for paris and have that to show the taxi driver since they won't recognize the street name.
Overall we were happy we stayed here because of how economical it was and it had all our necessities of a hotel room on the list. Not many hotels in Paris could say the same.
