The town hall of Paris is a spectacular building both during the day and at night when it is lit up. We were walking around the Marais area and took some pics outside this impressive building

I like the spacey area surrounded with many historical buildings, good place for taking pictures, or just for picnic while enjoying the ambience and sunshine.
There are often free expositions here and they are always well-organized. Sometimes a long line to get it. The building is a gem, re-built after it was torched during the Commune revolution. Very grand.
Hotel de Ville which was rebuilt in the French Renaissance style in 1873 after it had been damaged during the Paris Commune two years prior.
This is effectively the City Hall and is an architectural delight and worth photographing. We came her to visit the tourist office in order to collect the museum passes but were delighted to see what is an amazing building.
Hotel de Ville (City Hall) is a beautiful building in the 4th arrondissement of Paris that is worth taking a view minutes to enjoy if you enjoy architecture. Originally constructed at this location in the 14th century, Hotel de Ville has taken on various architectural shape and form over the centuries.
The Renaissance Revival exterior is very impressive to see. The late 19th century style interior is described impressively as well although I'm not sure if this is something open to the public for viewing. Note, there was a small Christmas market in front of Hotel de Ville at the time of our recent visit.
Have a look at Hotel de Ville when you pass by Le Marais. Then carry on with other intended sightseeing you have while in the area.
