Pullman Bercy is modern / safe but know that you are well outside the tourist areas and unless you are well versed with subways and multiple switches , you'll spend a fortune in taxi fares .

In addition , the breakfasts we got as part of a Globus tour were awful . They did not have enough tables on any given day and thus we'd have to eat at tables with dirty dishes stacked up on it . The scrambled eggs were the worst ever . Must have used some mix vs use actual eggs .

Also , I suggest if you stay at hotel , avoid the first floor at all costs . The air in the hallway smelled like a vacuum bag had exploded and the carpet on the hall floor was filthy all 3 days I stayed there and I lodged a complaint first night there . When we were on other floors of the hotel , they appeared to be much cleaner .

On the positive : extremely comfortable beds , free Wi-Fi , good water pressure and modern bathrooms . Front desk was friendly . The old burgundy grapes warehouses next store converted into a strip of restaurants offers a nice dining option but its not what a tourist coming to Paris really should want to do .

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your recent stay at the Pullman Paris Bercy. I will gladly share your compliments to our Front Desk and I am pleased that you enjoyed our newly renovated rooms.
However, I am sorry that you did not enjoy your breakfast. Our priority is to please each of our guests, even when they are part of a big group such as Globus Tour. Your remarks have been heard and will definitely help us to improve our quality of service.
As for the scrambled eggs, please rest assured that they are freshly made by our chef, such as all of our food in the restaurant.

We hope that you will give us the opportunity to welcome you back in the near future.

Sincerely,

This was my third stay at this hotel. The location is great, with easy walking access to Bercy Village, Metro Stations and a 10 min walk the Bercy Arena.

The staff was great, the rooms are a nice size and the internet access was fast all the time

We've booked two rooms for a weekend Paris city trip from 7th to 9th of June 2013, based on my Accor membership. We chose this hotel because it was a sensible balance between the price and the proximity to city center (given the tourist season). This hotel has one of the best reception I've ever seen, from the welcoming to solving particular issues and requests. It was also the only case where I've seen a proactive (voluntary) approach to offer an enhanced experience (having booked two rooms and upon querying the relationship, they offered a pair of rooms communicating with each other from the inside.

The rooms are relatively small, but given the fact that we did not plan to stay inside more than it was necessary (overnight sleep) this didn't really matter. The only slight discomfort was the AC, which did not seem to cope with the temperature I intended to maintain in the room.

In terms of service I have little to complain about. As I mentioned at the beginning, the welcome party was awesome, they did a great job all along our stay, they changed our rooms in no time when we requested this because in one of the two initial ones there was a persistent smell of recent smoking (although the hotel is entirely declared non-smoking - I guess not all the guests were willing to follow the policy after all). The only slight disappointment was the housekeeping who did not observe the coffee and the beverages we consumed (on the house, which was a nice touch) and did not refill the stock the next days.

The breakfast was a fair buffet, with a classic selection of cold and warm choices. And, being a business oriented service, aside from the serviced coffee and tea, there were some Nespresso professional machines (coffee pads, not capsules) which I always found them better as opposed to the commercial ones.

All in all it was a pleasant experience and I would recommend the hotel both for business and for short trips.

Stayed here 1yr ago and it was a great/fantastic experience...
BUT now...
Overall: TERRIBLE... Read more for details...

HOWEVER, the most recent trip have encountered a few issues:
1 - Lobby carpet smells (like a urine tinge)... gross!! But maybe I am just sensitive.
2 - No water top-up in my room on 1/3 days. (service fail!)
3 - WORST of all : they left a WET blue cleaning cloth & a pillow case on my sleeping clothes placed ontop of my luggage!! and the cloth smelt!!
4 - Quality of pastry has dropped (or my standards have gone up).
5 - Beds too soft and the memory foam pillows too hard... seriously bad sleep...

@the prices they are charging, I will NOT return of my own free will...

Pullman, one of the top quality brand of Accor, here again a great place to stay in Paris especially when you arrive from east of France (Bercy), directly close to Chatelet (M), close to the BNF, "Bibliothèque François Mitterrand”, a great place to start a journey in Paris.
In addition this area, an ancient wine market has been rehabilitated into a great place to have a drink or a meal day and night.

I usually prefer inner city hotels - usually closer to the main attractions however I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel and the Bercy village nearby. The hotel was clean, well presented and the rooms were very comfortable. Thankfully, you could open a window to cool the rather warm room. The staff were very helpful, especially when trying to use the public computers - Windows 8 is not a good system when the users are from all over the world. I would be happy to go back

Room Tip: If you get 403, ask for another room - the hotel name in lights comes through the windows! All nigh...
