There are better for the same price, so I would pass on this hotel and stay somewhere else in future.
The Jr Suite was a large nicely appointed stylish single room that matched the online pictures.
Avoid the executive suites, particularly room 218. The pictures make this type of room look big and beautiful (which is why I booked it), but according to the front desk staff there is only one executive suite that looks like the pictures. The executive suite I got (room 218) was a dark 2 story loft with 7 foot ceilings on the first floor, no desk, and no charm. The living room area was very thrown together looking. Once they downgraded me to the Jr Suite I was happy with the room, so they are willing to be accommodating if you insist.
The restaurant is very good. The lobster club sandwich is amazing and worth a try. Skip the scallops appetizer. It's nice, but nothing special. The breakfast buffet is also done nicely. There is no club lounge, so as of Jan 2014 the hotel was including the buffet for Plat Premier guests (Marriott's loyalty program). I don't know if other loyalty program levels get the included breakfast. Generally the restaurant very is expensive, but this is Paris, and it's not a budget hotel.
The hotel has a courtyard which is probably lovely from spring through fall. Preferred rooms face the courtyard so you don't get as much street noise.
The fitness center is cheery looking and is furnished with 3 cardio machines a TV and one vertical rack of maybe 14 dumbbells.
The hotel is roughly 5 blocks and across the river from the Eiffel tower. No you can't see it from the hotel. There are lots of restaurants of different levels just down the street, and the Parc Trocadero is just down the street. Just down the street mean 5 or 6 blocks (1/2 mile). It's Paris so plan on walking a lot. Anything within 1/2 mile is considered close.
