“CONCIERGE SAVES THE DAY!! AMAZING service! GREAT Location! Walk to Eiffel Tower!”
Reviewed January 22, 2014

7 great stays at Renaissance Le Parc Trocadero. Rooms are spacious (by European standards), well appointed, and comfortable. Close the drapes and sleep undisturbed for hours, even days. Traveling with family (2 adults + 2 children), staff was considerate and accommodating. BIG ROOM overlooking Ave Raymond Poincare. Children loved the balconies.
CONCIERGE=PASCAL SAVED MY TRIP, AND >500EURO. NO BETTER SERVICE POSSIBLE
Checked out of Hotel, went to Gare du Nord to catch a train by taxi (strike crippled taxi service). Arrived at Gare du Nord and realized passports and >500Euro left in safe in hotel room. Return taxi to hotel not possible due to strike. Concierge (Pascal) at Le Parc retrieved essentials from room, drove personal vehicle to Gare du Nord, returning all intact. Missed my train, but received passports and >500Euro.

My wife and I just returned from a 3 night stay at this Hotel and left feeling like it was an excellent choice for several reasons. Close proximity to La Trocadero, clean and romantic hotel with friendly staff and nice décor/feeling, great neighborhood for shopping and stores – we wanted to be like locals and fit in and feel/experience Paris, and proximity to Metro Line 2.

I will start with transportation from Gare De Nord since I took EuroStar from London – highly recommend that trip also. It was very easy once on the Metro at Gare De Nord but not easy to walk from the EuroStar train to Metro Line 2 (Metro La Chapelle) – it was a long walk, not clearly marked, lots of stairs, and some seriously shady looking characters standing around and looking like they wanted to scam you or pick pocket you. Now that being said – it was easy enough and I would do it again but be aware and don’t be a stupid looking tourist – just stay on course and keep moving – it is a ghetto part of town and where lots of trains and metros all merge into one large building with a ton of people and activity. You can walk to Line 2 Metro La Chapelle like we did but again it is not clearly marked – you will only see Chapelle listed one or two times – or you can do like we did on the return (and even worse on the return trip as Eurostar us not marked AT ALL) and take Metro Line 4 from Gare de Nord (towards Porte de Clignancourt) one stop to Barbes Rochechouart stop and get off and transfer to Line 2 (towards Porte Dauphine) then get off at Victor Hugo – 11th stop this is a little less walking and stairs. Once at the hotel though it is very easy to use Victor Hugo Metro line and transfer one stop away at Charles de Gaulle Etoile (not the airport stop) to line 1 (the yellow line) towards Vincennes and this line runs along the Seine River for all the good stops. We took it one day to Hotel de Ville and you can walk to Notre Dame and some good shopping areas and we actually walked all the way back to the hotel through the Champs – long but good walk. Also if you do take Eurostar from London buy your Metro Tickets there so you are ready when you get in Paris. You can and should buy the 10 pack called carnet (10 trips for 13 pounds I think at the information desk). If you arrive by airline you can buy same Carnet card at the Metro Station.

First night you are there walk to the end of the street which is very easy and short and you will see an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower from atop the hill at La Trocadero and every hour on the hour the tower twinkles so make sure you do this – it is awesome. Grab a bottle of wine and cheese from the market (La Ferme d’Hugo) at Victor Hugo Metro stop area and some bread from the AWESOME Boulangerie (a La Petite Marquise) in the same area and have it while sitting on a park bench down in the Tracadero while watching the lights. We walked to that Boulangerie every day for our afternoon Pain au Chocolate and Café Au Late along with a baguette to snack on in the evening. It is so fresh and so awesome and very much a local thing so there is a line always but it moves

The hotel is very good and clean. I do not give it 5 stars only because I am a frequent traveler and stay a lot at Four Seasons hotels and they are all truly five star worthy where things are always perfect and they think ahead of you. We had to switch the first night to a quitter room as the street is very busy and noisy all night long so be careful about a room on the street. They moved us with no real issues though. I am Platinum member so I was thrilled they recognized and rewarded me for that with a welcome gift, an upgrade, internet and free breakfast which was very good every morning but very expensive if you had to pay for it. They do have a good selection of hot and cold items though – typical Marriott breakfast but some good local meats, cheese and bread items also. The beds were not super awesome so also why a 4 star– first one was better than second room which had a dip in it and wobbled. Also, the hot and cold water in bathroom was switched. Awesome Bvgari products in the room though and the sheets were soft and clean and the rooms were very well kept/cleaned with turn down service. Nice rain shower with option for handheld shower head also and both rooms had a nice hand held bidet by the toilet. Tissue was not soft. Very super friendly and helpful staff and a shout out to Louie who checked us in and helped us with local information and sites and the concierge was also helpful. Beautiful bar with lots of Gin choices but we did not try them as we had wine and bread we purchased in the room. Also some excellent local restaurants easy walk away (Orzo Italian was awesome) and some nice high end shops off the Victor Hugo circle (Metro Stop) area so easy walk and we purchased some nice lingerie in a high end shop there. Easy walk to the Arch De Triumph as well. I will totally stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to walk to stuff and experience true local Paris feeling.

Room Tip: Avoid the street and book online - we did the jr suite and it was nice and large. Used Points and Do...

Got a great deal for a 2 night stay in this hotel, first impressions was a very helpful receptionist called Audrey, the most helpful and informative front of house we have encountered on our many travels with recommendations for restaurants (le petite retro restaurant around the corner!). We had a fantastic room and treated to champagne and Chocolate Cake Dessert for my birthday!! ideally located close to Victor Hugo Centre with the Metro a 100 yards away! turn left Victor Hugo Centre and Arc du triomphe, turn right the seine and Eiffel Tower all within a gentle stroll window shopping through the 16th ard a middle class area of Paris.

The hotel is pretty and elegant the rooms are very modern and contemporary with a great Gin Bar and restaurant on the ground floor, breakfast sumptuous and elegant which reflected this hotel and would definitely recommend and will be returning again soon!!

We recently stayed at Le Parc Trocadero for a very special trip. We have stayed in a few hotels in Paris and I say without reservation that this hotel has been the best. From the moment we arrived the ladies at check in we're wonderful, informative, friendly and so welcoming. Our room was everything we had dreamt of, clean with immaculate decor. We had only been in the room for 10 minutes when we took a call from the front desk to check everything was to our satisfaction. The hotels location is perfect only 5 minute stroll to the Eiffel Tower with plenty of good bars and restaurants on the way. The metro is also very close with easy access to rest of Paris. We can not recommend this hotel enough and we're able to enjoy the pretty courtyard area with outside heaters for a drink even in winter. To top it all we had the pleasure of meeting one of the hotels managers Marc Whittaker who from the moment we arrived looked after everything we needed as he did for other guests and he is an asset to this hotel. My thanks to the hotel for making our trip as special as I hoped it would be.

This was my first trip away with my girlfriend and I couldn't have picked a better hotel. It's very close to the Trocadero Metro station and ten minutes away from the Eiffel Tower. Perfect for those late romantic walks. The room was spacious enough and with a decent bathroom. The room was nicely decorated and not too 'fancy'. The staff were very helpful in recommending restaurants, bars along with providing local knowledge. The hotel for me doesn't get 5 star rating due to cost of the wi-fi. It was a lot more than the average but to the hotels credit, they do provide free wifi in the reception/bar area. All in all, I will be staying here the next time I visit Paris.

The name of a hotel in Paris does not necessarily mean it is where it says it is. I had assumed that a hotel called Parc Trocadéro was at the Trocadéro, but not at all. The taxi driver eventually dropped me at the Trocadéro as, like many taxi drivers in Paris, he did not know the hotel and could not be bothered to find out the address. It turned out to be at least 1 km away!
The rooms are clean and mercifully the bath and shower are easy to operate, you don't need a university course in plumbing as you do in some hotels. The hotel lobby is very pleasant with lots of nice art books to read while you are waiting.
The service is good the prices are high and it is in a very expensive neighbourhood, so prices in local shops are equally high. As usual, the internet is normally very expensive to use, in cheap hotels it is free! Be warned, it is a good km walk for the nearest metro station.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Renaissance Le Parc Trocadero 12/27-12/30. It was a great choice. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Check in was easy, and the Concierge was excellent. Very helpful recommendations for dinner, travel, etc... The hotel itself was also terrific . We had a small queen-size bed room. Typical NYC size hotel room, but it was great with a garden view, clean and with an excellent bathroom/shower. I am a Marriott Gold Member so the room came with breakfast and the breakfast was as good as any Marriott property at which I have stayed. The location of the hotel is absolutely ideal. Tucked away in a residential neighborhood, yet 5 minutes from the Tower and 10-15 from the Arc. When we return, it will be the only place we will stay in Paris.
