We stayed for 3 nights and found the hotel to be ideally located for us to see paris. Check in is a bit late at 3pm but the receptionist was helpful, taking our cases, arranging coffee and providing advice and a map so we could get sightseeing straight away. Room was nice and clean, lovely bathroom and loads of closet space. Our tea and coffee wasn't replenished but a call to reception and they brought us some straight away. Bit frustrating that the wifi is only available in the lobby where you then end up buying drinks from the bar. We eat in the restaurant one night which was nice but expensive however the service was good. Would recommend for couples and would stay again.

This was our second time traveling to Paris, but our first time staying at this hotel (we stayed here 3 nights). Getting to the hotel was extremely easy from CDG via the train. (From CDG, take the RER B to the Gare du Nord (Paris Nord) stop and hop on the Metro Line 2 (you'll need to walk to the La Chapelle station via underground tunnel) towards Porte Dauphine. Exit at the Charles de Gaulle Étoile or Victor Hugo stops and walk to Avenue Raymond Poincare). If you're traveling from the US, don't get frustrated if your credit cards don't work at the ticket vending machines. We couldn't get our credit cards to work, and had to purchase our tickets from the ticket window instead. From what I've read, US credit cards don't always work at the metro ticket machines. The one way ticket costs 9,80 € each.

We arrived early in the morning and got to the hotel around 9:30 am. Hoping we could drop off our bags at the hotel and wait until we could check in, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that not only was our room ready for us, but we could also eat breakfast at their buffet which runs until 10:30! The hotel was extremely accommodating and comfortable. The rooms in the hotel are in a few different buildings that are all nicely appointed and appear recently renovated. My only complaint would be that we had to exit our building to get to the restaurant into the cold for our breakfast, but this was only a minor inconvenience.

Our room was very nice and large by Parisian standards. Our bed was a huge king size bed that was amazingly comfortable. Checking in early after flying through the evening was a huge benefit since we were able to catch a nap after filling our bellies with the delicious breakfast buffet.

The breakfast buffet had a huge assortment of fresh meats, fish, fruit, bread, eggs, sausage, bacon, pastries, coffee, tea, juice, water. My only complaints about the breakfast would be the scrambled eggs were a little runny for my taste and the consistency was a little different than I'm accustomed to. The rest of the breakfast was superb. We always stuffed ourselves at the breakfast buffet in preparation for a full day of Paris sightseeing. As a note, if you can, book a room with the breakfast included. It is quite expensive if you have to pay for it yourself (29 € per person).

The location couldn't be better if you want easy access to all of the major tourist attractions in Paris. Both the Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile and the Eiffel Tower are within easy walking distance of the hotel, and the Avenue des Champs-Élysées is also very close. The hotel is located in the very trendy 16th arrondissement, and we felt very safe walking around the are at all hours of the evening.

Wi-fi is free in the common areas of the hotel, but you will have to pay for access within your rooms. This was only a minor inconvenience because it was quite easy to walk to the lobby to get online. We didn't eat in the restaurant in the hotel, but it seemed nice, but pricey. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance of the hotel in all price ranges.

Although it is part of the Marriott chain, it doesn't feel like a Marriott in the US. It definitely feels more like a charming European hotel. If you are in Paris, I would highly recommend staying at this property. You won't be disappointed.

My husband and i selected this hotel because we were using Marriott points. We were hoping to stay in a hotel that did not feel like a big Marriott and we hit the jackpot! The hotel was absolutely charming and the staff could not have been more accommodating! We arrived early in the day, straight from the airport and were treated to a fabulous breakfast buffet (my husband is a Gold Elite Marriott member so breakfast was included, although this was technically the morning before our stay). Our room was ready early and the staff was kind enough to let us in to rest before a big day out in Paris. They were quick with directions and bus/metro information. As we were celebrating our anniversary, they even treated us to a small bottle of champagne! The lovely courtyard makes you feel like you are away from the busy. The weather was misty when we were there, but otherwise it would have been a great spot for a drink. The location is a little off the beaten path - walking distance to Trocadero. That meant once we headed over towards Notre Dame, we spent the entire day out, seeing the sights in that area. We saved the Eiffel tower and Arc d'Triomphe for night viewing on way return to the hotel. On a previous trip, we stayed near the Luxembourg Gardens and took the bus to all the sights. It did feel a little closer to most of the sights, but we never saw the Eiffel Tower sparkle because we were on the wrong side of town at night. If you want to be near Trocadero, this is the perfect hotel!

I stayed in this hotel for two weeks. Very good location, less than 10 minutes from the Champ de Mars. Very good rooms: well-equipped; comfy; and very quiet. Good breakfast, even if it is a bit overpriced. Basic gym, but sufficient for some daily exercise. Very friendly staff. Excellent place for a short or long business stay...

This is an excellent hotel, had a wonderful experience, only stayed for 1 night, but I would recommend this property. The rooms are nice sized, the hotel is lovely, beautiful garden area..just had drinks,,in it...but so nice,,, the restaurant looked great. the area is really, really nice, lots of good restaurants close by, the sights are close, the Eiffel tower was around the corner was lots of restaurants to sit and watch the tower sparkle at night. We have been to Paris before, stayed in 7th also, in Saint Germain.area.. loved both, so this was a new area and really liked...you cannot go wrong if you are considering this property.

Room Tip: rooms over garden are lovely...we had a standard over garden.

We usually stay at the Renaissance in the 1st - Vendome area but it was sold out. I am glad we had an opportunity to stay here for comparison.
Check in was a little onerous because at 3:30 and my room was not ready. I sat in the lovely outdoor courtyard and enjoyed a glass of Champagne and my book for about 30 min until I could go in. But, I was very tired as my flight was 6 hours late landing.
I loved the outdoor Courtyard with nice seating areas and lovely flowers and plants. The bar is small but efficient.
The Lobby is small but has a nice seating area to wait.
The room was not as nice as the Vendome property, not close. But, it was clean, updated and not bad. I wish I knew ahead of time to ask for a room with a view of the Eiffel tower. Our room had a view of the courtyard - it was nice but I think I would prefer the other view!! The bathtub was large and comfortable.
For location, like others said, it is close to some major sights as well as the Metros. It is a quiet neighborhood and we felt very safe walking around at night.
We enjoyed breakfast outside in the courtyard. It was typical fare, not better or worse than other Marriott properties.

Booked the hotel as a last thought for a quick week-end in Paris a the end of our UK vacation, and it was a great decision.....chunnel crossing, to hotel, from central London to central Paris, in less than 4 hours... The property is 200 yards from Place Victor Hugo, 400 yards from the Trocadero with the Eiffel Tower just beyond, and 1/2 mile from the Arc de Triomphe.....for visitors, it is ideal, major attractions within easy walking, with 2 Metro stops very close to let you see the rest of Paris. The staff, at registration, could not have been more helpful.....they initiated queries, as to what we wanted to see, where we wanted to go, what activities did we want to do, and they gave us maps, etc, and even found out info on the weekly Friday night roller skating tour and Segway Tours (you should do a Segway in whatever city its offered, that's a great experience in itself, but I digress)....staff is equal to the property, and the property is top rated.
The room was well appointed, the bed very comfortable, the lighting is especially dramatic, the bathroom is modern, and well appointed....and for Paris, the room is large, and worth the tariff...
.I would definitely return. I would rate the property higher if WiFi was generally available. For some corporate reason, WiFi , on a limited bandwidth, is free, only in the lobby....If you want a greater bandwidth, or if you want WiFi in your room, there is an extra charge.....it seems a bit pennywise/pound foolish, for this level of property....If you charge high nightly tariffs, you should raise your level of service....if Starbuck's and Nero can give you free WiFi for a cup of coffee, Marriott should give its patrons free WiFi for the hundreds of Euros it charges per night. The property is a gem.
