One of the worse looking hotel where I ever spent a night. Location is good but that is the only thing. Stay away!

I do not understand the magic of photography that was accomplished to make this hotel look inviting on their website but the hotel is extremely old, worn, and feels like it was furnished with castoffs from a thirft store. The carpets are absolutely threadbare. I was unable to check in when I arrived (I was early, no problem there). But, their version of a baggage check is that you walk down extremely narrow curving stairs to a closet in the basement where everyone who needs to store their luggage gets the same passcode to lock/unlock the cupboard and there is no supervision or assistance in storing it. I was very nervous to leave it under those circumstances, but it was still there when I returned. I do understand that the expectations of American travelers for hotels is not the same as those within Europe (and perhaps other countries) but I have been traveling all over Europe for the last three years and this was definitely the worst ever. As one of the other reviewers mentioned, the room and bathroom were actually larger than most - but the shabbiness and junky feel of the room made it feel dirty. When I returned (almost immediately) to the front desk to share my complete shock over the condition of the room compared to what the website described, I was informed that I had one of the best rooms - an "executive." If that is true, I cannot even fathom what the standard rooms must have been like. I was also informed that despite the obviously misleading advertising, I would be charged for the room whether I stayed or not. For the first time ever, I choose to check out anyway - so just be warned. If you want a completely bare bones tiny step above a "hostel" feel then this hotel is probably right for you - it does have a good location for sightseeing and public transit. But - don't be misled by their website. Since they refused to refund my stay even though I didn't spend more than 3 minutes in the room - I certainly hope they invest in substantial renovations!

I had the best stay here, when i was on holiday. The rooms were large, the weather was amazing. I can pretty much say I loved everything but this hotels. The area is just WOW. All the staff were friendly and helpful, the service was good. It was a great atmosphere and I will be definitely brining my family here when I am visiting again.

Thanks for a great stay!

Room Tip: Great location!

Rooms and bathroom were surprisingly large. Hotel is in great location, walking distance to the Lourve and Notre Dame and has about 3 metro stations close by meaning you can pretty much catch a metro to anywhere without having multiple changes. Staff were friendly and helpful. Area is fabulous for nightlife with amazing restuarants close by.

I have never felt so bad and poor. I thought I wld never think of poverty this way but it's really sad. The carpet stinks: I saw the poor man sitting on the earth very close to the hotel near M hotel de ville - his carpet looked better. The room was tiny and cold. Some tiles in the visible area in the bathroom were broken. The roomed smelled very bad. The furniture is so old and it looked like soviet furniture from seventies when we didn't have much choice. It was very old and ugly. I hated my stay there, very sorry about it. I actually never care much about furniture bathroom etc as I am away all day long, but this time... It was just disgusting to be in the room... But I have to be fare: there are two good things: location and big TV in the room. But it's not worth it. By the way if you read the reviews and still book the room, and you get a back yard view, don't even think about looking out of window: you puke!!!!

Room Tip: I am sure there is no good room, I met the couple there living in a bigger room with big bed: they c...

Accommodation in Paris is generally expensive, and therefore you really don't get much for your money. Unfortunately this hotel was no exception. The positives about the hotel is that it is incredibly central, right across from the Hotel de Ville and a five minute walk to the heart of the Marais district with its small steets, specialty boutiques and charming cafes and restaurants. However, the rooms in the hotel are small, and the shower is without a curtain, which means that the bathroom floor ends up being soaking wet, making it difficult not to request fresh towels every day. There is a reasonably large lounge room with couches and a computer where you can relax if you think the rooms are too small. The noise from the street is not as bad as some of the other reviews suggest, but if you are a light sleeper, it may disturb you. As many of the others have written, if you are just looking for a central base from which to explore Paris, then this is definitely the place for you, but if you want a bit more comfort you probably will have to pay more money.

I went to this hotel a few years back. It was horrid. The beds sunk in the middle. The bathroom was minute and poorly equipped. There was not a redeeming feature of this place. We faced the back of the hotel. uuugh! I would love to know where the professional photos were taken because they do not remotely resemble the true condition of this hole.I have since returned to Paris and rented an apartment through MyParisVisit.com. We had a spectacular apartment in the first arrondissement with lots of room and it was exceedingly well equipped and resembled strongly the advertised accomodation. Read and heed. You can do so much better than this horrid hotel. Keep on looking for better accommodation.

Room Tip: don't go to this hotel. keep looking. You can get so much better accommodation for the same pr...
