Hotel Elysees Paris

It is true. The hotel location is fantastic. Very close to Place de l'Etoile and Avenue des Champs-Elysees. Lots of option for lunch and dinner around (in particular 2 good "brasseries" Avenue de Wagram). However, although the hotel was supposedly renovated in 2004 it desperately needs a freshener, in particular the lobby which is grotty.
But in my view the worst thing in the hotel is the rooms. Mine was the room 233, charged 300 EUR per night (!!!). I am used to the size of European rooms but Best Western Elysees probably sets a record. The bed was placed against the wall and there was no space around to move or put the suitcase. Once I was in the shower I could barely move and raise my arm. Breakfast was average for this category of hotel and actually the breakfast room was the best decorated room in the hotel. Should have it been recently renovated?
In short, staying away of this hotel is a good idea. If you have to stay in the area the Mercure Etoile located in the same street next to the Best Western is a better option.

The location is quite good.Near to Metro and Arc de triomphe. The room is quite small, just like normal Parisian hotel. The staff is very good and helpful.
I was disappointed with the breakfast.I was not informed by the different schedule and I missed one breakfast.
Beside that, I wanted to praise the housekeeping staff.I left something and they quickly give it to me when I wanted to take my bag after sightseeing
Overall, the hotel is good

Having stayed in BestWestern in Rome and had a great time with a lovely hotel we thought it was a name we could trust. How wrong! we were very disappointed with the hotel in general very small, no bar , small breakfast room with limited selection compared to others we have stayed in for less money. The room, well, probably the smallest room we have ever stayed in and we had supposedly booked a superior double ! I think they are all the same . Our bed was a large single the shower was tiny and I'm afraid that if anyone is even a bit big they would have a huge problem. Noise from the tube through the night. Kettle was disgusting. The bathroom ceiling had gaps in it so we could see up into room above and them likewise down! Even had a dog in the room next door barking in the night! The minibar we didn't use but the biscuits nuts etc were chargeable and what was left in our room had been half eaten by the previous occupant and obviously not altered. We paid £280 for 2 nights with lastminute and that was bad enough if we had paid the advertised price€380/ night for that room we would have been very cross. It is central though.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights when we were stranded in Paris due to the ash cloud. The hotel's position is great - just a couple of minutes walk to the Arc de Triomphe and metro stations. Our room was tiny but stylish, with effective double glazing to keep noise to a minimum. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was good. We were stressed due to the uncertainty of when we'd get home, but the hotel was relaxing and we had 3 lovely extra days in this gorgeous city.

A typical 3 star hotel in Paris as regards to room size and bathrooms etc. Once you get past that, this is a very good hotel 5 minute walk from the Champs. Lots of reasonable restaurants around the hotel including a small grocery store. The service in this hotel was absolutely outstanding. The individual on the desk literally ran to get us anything we needed. Breakfast was included and we were pleasantly surprised that eggs were included plus a good variety of other items. Overall we would stay here again
