“Charming and Ideally Located”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

I booked the Louvre Montana after studying a map of hotels and choosing one that was in the centre of the city -close to major attractions . I looked at Tripadvisor reviews later and was pleased that other guests had found The Louvre Montana to be so conveniently situated .
My impressions of the hotel really revolve around three main aspects : firstly the charm and individuality of the hotel rooms and décor (the lift reminded me of something from a 1930's thriller) ; secondly the affability and helpfulness of the staff and finally the ease by which the location of the hotel allowed all sightseeing to be done without recourse to taxis etc. The Louvre Museum and many attractions were in walking distance - including two stops of the hop-on tour bus . There were many restaurants and shops in the rue de Rivoli and side streets near by to add to an especially enjoyable and memorable stay.
PS The hotel even emailed me when we accidentally left something in the hotel safe in order to return it .!

Room Tip: All the rooms are individual and vary in size etc . The room we had on the second floor was quite sp...

A hotel full of character and very helpful and friendly staff. This hotel is very centrally located with a short walk after a filling breakfast to a majority of Paris tourist points. An overnight stay was not enough time to fully appreciate the ambiance of this very clean and tidy hotel. The rooms we had while small, which is typical of a lot of Paris hotels, were quiet and serviced by a beautiful little lift.

Room Tip: Away from the street will quieter.

We were so happy with our stay at the Louvre Montana! The staff were incredibly helpfull and friendly, nothing was too much trouble! They knew the local area well, had great suggestions and helped us work our way around Paris and find a few little out of the way places to enjoy.
The rooms are clean, tindy and really good value for the location! The shower was great and the bed was very comfortable!
When we arrived I couldn't believe how big our room was and we even had a view of the Gardens down the street.
I could not fault the location, facilities or staff. They really made our stay fantastic!
We can;t wait to visit Paris again, the the Louvre Montana will be the first thing we book!

Room Tip: Rooms along Rue Saint Roche have a view if you open the windows! We stayed in a Superior room and we...

We finished our 10 day vacation from London to Paris and stayed at the Louvre Montana. We were very pleased. We stayed in a triple room which was extremely large for rooms I am told in Europe. We had a balcony that opened onto the street that had lovely views to the left of the Tuileries Gardens and to the right just great scenery of the Paris streets and activity. It was fantastic to just sit with the balcony doors open and listen to the hustle of the city. The hotel is in a great location near the Louvre, Tuileries Gardens, restaurants, souvenir shopping and the Metro station. Staff was not as helpful as our concierge in London. That disappointed me a bit seeing we obviously needed more assistance here. We did have breakfast included in our hotel package. It is a buffet style. Pretty decent. Croissants, pastries, eggs, sausages, fruits etc. I do wish again that it was served a little later than 10. I will warn though that other people in our party that had double rooms ended up with very small rooms. Their rooms were located on the inner side of the hotel so there was very little light. They had a window that opened into a courtyard that was shared by the hotel and apartments that are right next door. You could open the window but again not much light came in because these rooms were on the inner side of the hotel. You also could hear and see into those apartments. This poor lighting made these rooms dark and depressing. Also the bathrooms were a lot smaller in those rooms as well. So I would recommend asking for a room with a balcony.
FYI- safes inside ech room a plus.

Room Tip: Pick one with a balcony

The Louvre Montana was the last hotel in our three week journey from Amsterdam around France to Paris. It was a wonderful conclusion to a dream fulfilled! The facilities and amenities were well appointed and spacious, especially compared to our other locations. The staff was both helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to make sure our transport to the airport got to us in time to get to Charles de Gaulle. The location near the Tuilieries and the Paris Metro couldn't have been more convenient. They made our 35th Wedding Anniversary trip wonderfully memorable!

Room Tip: We were in room 12 overlooking the street. Little street noise though we were only one floor up.

We stayed only one night at the Louvre Montana, but we were very pleased with our experience. Situated only a short walk from many sights, very helpful staff and generous breakfast (although a little overpriced) Clean, quiet and well decorated rooms. We definitely recommend this hotel.
