I chose this hotel for a weekend in Paris based on other reviews and I was not disappointed. As a young couple, we are on a bit of a budget, but found this room to be reasonably priced for the location (right off St. Germain and within minutes of major sightseeing). Upon arrival we were upgraded to a large room with a king size bed and full bathroom. The hotel itself has a charming decor and was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was included in our room price, but it wasn't anything to rave about, just an added convenience with the bare essentials. The staff, however, was extremely friendly and helpful. They also booked us a shuttle to and from the airport, which I found to be much better than hauling luggage on the trains and fairly similar in price. My only negative comment was that at times we could hear people in the room next door, but it was a family with children and most of the noise occurred between the walls in the bathroom. The location was absolutely perfect and provided easy access to the Seine, the Louve, Notre Dame, St. Germain (lively street) and major metro and tube lines just around the corner. I would stay here again without hesitation.

My husband and I spent a recent week in Paris and were charmed by this wooden-beamed ceiling hotel. We were able to sleep well in a first story room facing the street thanks to double glazed windows, heavy curtains and a comfy bed. The breakfast was good, the hotel staff friendly and helpful, and the location unbeatable for exploring Paris. I highly recommend it.

Room Tip: If our room on the first floor facing the street was quiet and comfortable, my guess is they all are...

I cannot say enough about this charming little hotel. Location was fantastic! Walked to everything - a lovely walk to the Seine and across the many bridges to both Notre Dame and The Louvre, where we spent a lovely day. If you dont like to walk far, the metro is just at the end of the street and just 10 minutes to the Champs Elysee or Eiffel Tower.
Breakfast is included in the the room rate and we thought it was perfect - a fresh basket of french bread and croissants, along with some sweet pastries. There was cereal, bread for toasting, cold meats and cheese, fruit juice and coffee served fresh just the way you like it. This neighbourhood is crammed with restaurants and bars and the lively Boulevards St Michel and St Germain right round the corner for shopping and people watching. We ate locally every night - the first magical night in the Rue de Buci at the Cafe de Paris, where we waited a little while for a lovely table outside and enjoyed excellent service and affrordable good food (not to mention the pichet du vin).
Our room was an 'inside' room with no view of the street. it was beautifully quiet and, on opening the window, looked out at a small courtyard where the walls had been treated to a 'faux finish' giving a a wonderful effect of golden sunshine and vines growing.
The room was small but so prettily decorated and cosy and immaculately clean. The Bathroom was modern and the shower hot and powerful. There was a large closet, which meant we could unpack and stow our cases.
Front desk staff were always extremely helpful and friendly. They gave us an adaptor for our laptop and key for the safe when we arrived. Unfortunately, we then found the computer would not fit in the safe!!! A shuttle service was arranged for us to the airport by Front desk staff and was very reasonable and turned up right on time.
We cannot wait to go back to this lovely hotel and are already planning our next trip!

This is a great neighborhood but there are many other hotels in the neighborhood for less that are equal or better. The room was extremely small with no natural light. Breakfast and common areas were cramped. Food, so not special. Front desk help was not helpful. There is an airport shuttle however for 20 Euro per person.

Dear Sir ,
We are very surprised by your comment that deserves some explanations :
- all our rooms have a minimum area of 15 m2 until 24 m2 for the largest rooms and all our rooms have one or more windows with natural light .
- the breakfast room can accomodate 32 persons and common areas are not cramped
( the surface is 80 m2 ) .
- we have an airport shuttle , the price is 27 euros for 1 person ( and not 20 euros ) , 36 euros for 2 persons and more : 18 euros per person .
We always do our best to make our guests spend a very good time with us .
Best regards .
Mme Fanny Desquesnes .
The Manager .

Look, it's a mid priced hotel so don't expect 5 star service.
So after uncle Joe and aunt kate sold the Shady Rest (kids, look it up on the web,) they bought this place.
Front desk is of no help at all with anything.
Do Not pay extra for the breakfast, unless your idea of breakfast is a croissant and coffee . No eggs (well yes there are eggs if you want to pay over and above the breakfast package price) no pancakes, no waffles and - get this - no French toast.., and this is France!!! No brewed decaf coffee. But we were here to sleep and that's no problem . No noise problems.
If you're here for a hotel experience y'all shouldn't come back to set a spell.

Great staff who are very helpful and the hotel is in an excellent location. Rooms are small for the price. Just walking around the area there seemed to be a number of similar hotels within a couple of blocks with rooms for about 50 Euro less (225 Euro). Many had larger lobby's with better seating. I thought by paying a little more for the Left Bank Hotel the rooms would have been a little larger and the lobby nicer. Very clean and well maintained. Airport shuttle service was great and reasonably priced.

Wonderful introduction to the delights of Paris and the sophistication of the people. We had a triple room which had adequate space and all the comfort we needed for 3 nights. Our room's windows (304) faced the courtyard which meant we had minimal street noise. The breakfast was good and the catering staff helpful. The decoration and comfort of our room provided a welcome respite from sightseeing and feasting. Left Bank provides a level of service and comfort above what I would expect from a 3* hotel. We loved it!
