Visited this restaurant on 5th February 2013. Understated entrance into a long narrow area. We were seated towards the rear and as we were dining early were allowed to occupy a table for four. The tables for two were small. The Menu which was clearly explained in English for our benefit, was sufficiently varied for us to find something we really fancied, although it was not by any means extensive. The timing and attentiveness of the service was excellent, which is not what we have previously experienced in Paris!
In an unhurried manner the food was served with the presentation, quality and taste exceeding our expectations. We enjoyed champagne on arrival, three courses, wine and sparkling water, Cognac and coffee for a not insubstantial bill of 211 Euros. However it was a truly excellent experience and if one could find that level of cuisine in any other capitol city it would probably cost the same.

Probably relatively unknown and we only ended up here thanks to the recommendation of the concierge at our hotel. Having spent a small fortune at two other superb restaurants already, we wanted something a little less glamorous but still wanted to experience good food. This little bistro delivered on every level, offering a great balance between very high quality food and price with great friendly service thrown in for good measure. It really is a very nice little restaurant, not glamorous and no need to dress up to the nines, but well worth a visit. We award a 5 on the basis of this excellent little bistro not trying to be something it is not, it simply serves great food. The pate is a must try!

In front of the statue of Moliere, this famous bistrot winner of a prize in 2012 offers the best of French delicacy: food, wines and spirits. Very cozy athmosphere but very high prices.

A party of 5 for dinner on a Friday night among friends:
The host and maitre d'hotel are professionnal and nice. They welcome customers with special attention that makes you feel like if you were a regular visitor.
Although most of the dishes we order had too much salt, the 5 of us were happy with what we had: particularly Scallops were fresh. I recommend the pigeon as a main dish.
The help that we got for wine selection is smart and not stupidly 'the more expensive the better' as I see it often..
Surprisingly, the restaurant was not full. Maybe high prices are driving people away, certainly not the food quality.

Had dinner at Les Bistronomes on the night we arrived in Paris as it was very close to our hotel. Had read some good reviews but had also heard the place was a bit pretentious. What we found was a small restaurant with tables a little too close together for comfort, serving very good food, although perhaps a little overpriced (but not bad by Paris standards). The two young guys running the place were very pleasant although seemed a little disorganised in the middle of a busy Saturday night service. We could not fault the food although both my wife and I thought it was good rather than truly memorable. My wife's abiding memory was actually the pickled vegetables that accompanied her starter (as she normally hates pickled veg!). The menu is quite concise, which I think is a good thing as it means there is more chance of food being fresh and the wine list likewise; again a little overpriced but you should find something good on it. To sum up; a great litle restaurant with very pleasant staff but perhaps a little. Would I go again? Yes, if I happened to be in the Palais Royale area.
