“Great hidden gem!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2014

We were renting an apartment near by and used trip advisor to find restaurants close by. This restaurant doesn't look like much, and is down a small alley across from Pompidou, but it is definitely worth the trip. It is very tiny, and maximizes it's space by putting the tables very close to each other, so close that you need to pull the table out in order to get up from it, but this is party of the character of the place. Service is excellent and it was the best value we found for this quality of food on our trip. My wife and I shared the Prawn appetizer and then the Duck and Beef Entree's. Everything was wonderful!

“what a great find!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2014

An amazing tiny bistro that serves fantastic food at a very reasonable price. We had the 3 courses for 33 euros and each course was delicious and generous. There was a good range of choice on the menu and all were equally tempting. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly with excellent spoken English offering to help with menu explanations and wine suggestions - lovely service!
It is a very small space so expect to be cosy (tables have to be moved to allow diners to get in and out of chairs) but this didn't detract from a really nice evening.
You are advised to book but it is possible to turn up and take a chance if you are willing to wait for a later serving time.
If you are in the area, I would strongly recommend you visit. It is good value for money compared to nearby restaurants and the food is beautifully presented. How they manage it in such a tiny space I do not know! We will be going back the next time we are in Paris.

“second visit and still #1”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 25, 2014

We visit France regularly and enjoyed our dining experience at this restaurant so much in July 2013 that we returned for a second visit this past week. First of all, of all the many restaurants we visited in July 2013 year (including Bistrotters which was a close second), this restaurant was our favourite. We were, however, a bit nervous returning a year later as we didn't want our first memory spoiled, but I am extremely happy to report that the restaurant is just as good, if not better, than our first visit last year. As my cod main course was so good last year, we both had cod this year, and it was again cooked perfectly "a point". The middle of the fish was just translucent - absolute heaven! This chef definitely knows how to cook fish! We visited 6 restaurants this past week , and this was again our #1 favourite. I think this is one of the best dining values in Paris: 25E for 2 courses, 33E for 3 courses. The quality of food is very high compared to even more expensive restaurants in the city. Make sure you make reservations unless you want to dine past 10:00 p.m.! P.S. if you like creme brûlée, make sure you order their signature pistachio creme brûlée.

“Good unpretentious food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2014

We enjoyed a late supper here and found the food to be very enjoyable and good value. The waiter was young and keen to be of assistance explaining and advising when asked. As I was with my two teen age children who are not interested in wine I ordered a half litre Carafe. It would be nice if there were two standards of house wine, as I would willingly pay extra to have better.
Overall I would highly recommend and advise booking.
