We took a small apartment in Paris to bring in the New Year 2013. While in town we enjoyed shopping, sightseeing & excellent dining. We phoned Le 114 Fabourg to inquire regarding New Years Eve reservations, but they were booked solid. We decided to visit the evening of December 29. Which was probably much smarter considering we were traveling with our then 18 month old son. The ambiance, staff, food quality & presentation were absolutely divine. They welcomed the three of us. Which cannot be said for many other fine dining establishments in Paris. Our son is not unruly when eating, but many fine dining establishments simply shun the idea of welcoming small children.
Le 114 Fabourg would have been by favorite Paris restaurant, except our Le Cinq experience was like dining with the gids :) they exceeded EVERY expectation that one could ever dream for the perfect dining experience. But for more on that, please see my other review.
We found the maitre d at 114 to be quite charming & helpful with regards to both dinner & wine selections. We desperately wanted an authentically delicious crepe Suzette for dessert and although the in house chef could not prepare one for us the night we visited, he was able to make a nice suggestion. We would absolutely dine here again, no question!
