Description: Esens'ALL and its evolutionary and groundbreaking concept based on the element of surprise, through which Laurent our chef expresses his expertise and his vision of contemporary and sophisticated cuisine featuring rare products and organic farming. The customer stripped of its menu, is guided at the discretion of the market and seasonal products.

A true feast for the senses. Highly recommended. We selected the six course menu with wine selected by the chef. It was a perfect balance of flavors.

We had a wonderful meal at Esens'All last winter and I wrote a 5 star review. We returned this winter and did not enjoy our meal nearly as much. The food was still really interesting but there was a 25-minute delay between each of the 8 courses. Since the portions are small, that meant we were mostly sitting and waiting. And while the food was good, it wasn't worth waiting that long. We liked our waiter during our first visit. He was helpful and non-assuming. This time our waiter was a woman who put on a huge fake smile every time she approached our table. We found it a little disconcerting. We also were disappointed with the cheese course which included a mild, boring Brie.

I went there to have a unique experience with food. We were delighted from the biginning to the end, staying 3 hours at the restaurant, living amazing sensation with food. The plates are colorful and each ingredient is fresh upper quality original and combine perfectly with the others. I highly recommand this place. The price is fair. It would like to come back another season to have more fruits and flowers in the plates.

It’s a small place, with no menu – only a 6 or 8 course tasting menu. This is clear on the website and explained when you arrive.
We took the 8 courses with the accompanying wine.

The wine that came with it was excellent.
The rest was a mixture of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

The Good:
The Amuse-Bouche of Chestnut soup, was incredible- really tasty.
The following 4 courses were all very tasty, especially the Artichoke Mousse.

After that things started going downhill...

The Bad:
The fish was tasteless, the Lobster bisque was very bad.
The pan-fried Fois-Gras was the low point, this was the only course where i was happy the serving size was tiny.

Considering the high level of deserts and all things sweet in Paris, the desserts were a complete let-down.
The first dessert was a fruit salad with coconut milk sauce, really great; until you bit down on a rock hard nut- which spoiled the entire dish.

The second dessert was a too-sweet chocolate mousse. Nothing exceptional. We had better desserts from the bakeries along the main avenues.

Overall it was a little frustrating, it took 4 hours (they are not kidding on the website).
Each dish was tiny. We expected it to be small, but not that small ! You spent 60 seconds eating the dish and then had to wait 30mins for the next course.
Of course, I don't want to be rushed, but that's taking things a little to the extreme. Compressing the entire experience to 2 hours would be fine,
leaving you time to go have a second dinner elsewhere.

... and now for the Ugly:

The location of the restaurant is not a nice part of the city and the restaurant itself is a single room with about 7 tables and a single hostess.
very modern minimalist décor.

So... Would I recommend it? No. I think it’s overpriced for what you get (except the wine).

Booked this restaurant on the strength of the tripadvisor reviews. It's tucked out of the way and would be easily missed if you weren't looking for it. We were a little put off by the decor (Lots of blue lighting and a moss wall?!) and the fact it was fairly empty, but the waitress gave us a warm welcome and it soon filled up. We opted for the eight course tasting menu with wine flight (4 glasses) and started with a glass of champagne. The food was all very good with the exception of the fish course with lobster bisque which was lacking in flavour and under seasoned. The celeriac with mozzarella and a truffle sauce was absolutely fantastic and the pheasant was wonderful too. The chocolate dessert was lovely and rich. For a tasting menu this is excellent value. The waitress was a little run off her feet covering the whole place alone but very efficient. This was a delicious long dinner but if you are looking for something very Parisian it might not be for you. Coming from London and having had similar meals we felt we could be anywhere.
