That the place was empty at Sunday lunch time should have alerted us to the problem. We were eight friends. We sat down and though there was a fixed price menu outside we were not offered it until we asked. We were then told that various items were not available. We asked for bread, I think they gave us the ends because we got 4 small pieces to start with - remember we were eight people! We ordered but waited and waited for the water. People who arrived after us were served before us but we waited and waited. We then heard shouting from the kitchen. In the mean time very little came out of the kitchen and we waited and waited. The restaurant had begun to fill up and we waited and waited and drank a little more and more. Suddenly a bell rang in the kitchen and everyone in the restaurant clapped because it meant something might at last come out of the kitchen. The cook put her heard through the door, made some impolite gesture and then we waited some more. The starters arrived - actually not all - they forgot one. So we waited and waited and then the soup arrived - COLD!! So we sent it back. By now everyone else had finished their starers and we decided to ask for the bill and leave without waiting for the main course. We had come for lunch, at this rate the main course would not arrive until dinner.. We paid for what we had. In any respectable professional establishment after such a fiasco we might have got an apology or even some gesture like something off the bill not least because we had spent one and a half hours not getting very far but no. This should do everyone a favour and close down - REALLY REALLY BAD !!
