Just a fantastic hotel on every level. Beautiful, small hotel in a great location. Concierge were the most friendly and helpful we've experienced anywhere in the world. Can't recommend highly enough.

The hotel was perfect for our anniversary weekend in Paris. The location was great, the service was great, and the rooms were really well decorated in neoclassical/modern style. Definitely the best of both worlds...a boutique hotel with five-star amenities/service. Can't wait to go back!

We stayed for 5 nights and found the hotel to be perfect for our needs. High end decor and well appointed bedrooms. Excellent bar and restaurant. Perfect location for shopping and sights. The spa was also very good and the pool a real treat. But the best thing about this hotel is the service. The concierge was outstanding and at short notice made all reservations we wanted at three star restaurants. Nothing was any difficulty and all arrangements were perfect. The manager bade us a personal farewell and gave my wife some gifts from the spa.

This luxury hotel were really fantastic, it mean... the location, room, dining, facility...and etc were sufficient, and service and hospitality of hotel staff were excellent. Especially the concierge was really professional, he gave us many nice advise with many thanks! We'll choose this luxury hotel again for next visit to Paris.

The hotel is small and well run, our suite was beautifully furnished and the location was convenient for high end shopping; not so good for eating out. When we made our reservation the hotel was listed at No.2 in Paris but within a few weeks it had tumbled down the list - how does this happen...? Overall we really liked the hotel but the rooms were very expensive and our expectations were maybe too high based on Tripadvisor reviews. Paris is amazing and we will return but next time we would stay somewhere that had more onsite facilities and in a better area for evenings out.

We staid in Paris two nights early May 2012 at the beginning of a 7 day trip to France. The idea was to have a romantic meet-up in Paris with better-half who had been away for humanitarian work for the last 4 months. I flatter myself in having picked the right location for this! The Burgundy oozes with style and chic. The lobby is superb, the rooms are gorgeous, the hotel perfectly located right next to Jardins des Tuileries within walking distance to pretty much anything that needs to be seen in Paris: le Louvre, Place Vendome, Musee d'Orsay, Faubourg St Honoré, Galleries Lafayettes etc. Service is impeccable from the reception staff, the doormen, the concierge (who knows his stuff!) and even the cleaning staff. Style wise, I'd call it ''modern art-deco'' which I find gorgeous but dont expect golden taps and Louis XVI chairs (thank god) so it might not be to everyone's taste. Not that many rooms, i figured about 40, so it always keeps the boutique hotel feel and you never feel crowded. The bar is retarded if you're into cognacs. The restaurant (Le Baudelaire) is definitely worth it and I suggest the tasting menu, amazing. I would have liked a formal wine pairing with diner but the Maitre d'Hotel still found a way to accommodate us by the glass and tastefully so. The spa, according to better half is great. All in all, if your budget can accommodate it (yes it is not cheap!), the Burgundy is a sure shot. And best treat, an upgrade to a suite!

3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2012

Many months ago, we chose Le Burgundy for a posh stay in Paris and arrived towards the end of April. The area has an appeal and the hotel had been fairly recently renovated. I’m quite allergic to perfume (my husband just doesn’t like the smell) and there was some correspondence with the hotel manager about this prior to our arrival. There is a strong perfume smell in the lobby and public areas (pumped in to the lobby and scented candles) but the management did not think it would be a problem in the room and booked us on the fifth floor, far away from the lobby. So, we thought this would be fine.
We got to the hotel (note: I could smell the perfume smell on the street). The front desk staff is very friendly as are the valets. We declined a tour and went directly to the room. Very quickly we both could tell that the room itself was scented. We opened the windows (it was nice that they had given us a room with windows that opened into the courtyard and not the street). We tried to call reception but neither phone was working so my husband went downstairs and spoke to the manager. They said they had tried to make the room scent-free and offered us a room air cleaner. In our opinion the carpet was perfumed (probably sprayed) and in my opinion, it’s just not possible to stay in this hotel if you’re allergic to perfume or just don’t like being in a perfumed area.
We were also surprised to see a five star hotel where the walls had several scratches with paint removed (probably from suitcases), that were not repaired. We were fortunately able to find another hotel and left within the hour. We paid for that night.
Certainly, one could say from the previous reviews it just would have been better to book at a different hotel, however, there was much of the hotel that really appealed to us and given that we thought the room would not have scent, we thought there was a good possibility that it would be fine. If you don’t mind perfumes, then this would be a good hotel to stay in. For us, it was not and given the price, we wanted to really enjoy our stay.

Room Tip: Courtyard room nice as windows open.
