“Our home in Paris”
Reviewed October 29, 2013 via mobile

It was our 5th time in Britannique. My wife and I love this small and cozy hotel in the heart of Paris. The location is very nice, close to the Chatelet Metro station and in a walk distance of a lot of interesting places. The breakfast is not sophisticated, but complete and perfect. The people are a special chapter, the staff is well trained and very kind. It is not a cheap hotel, but they pay back each penny spent in service, in cleanness, in hospitality, in attention, in care, in all it's necessary to be enchanted. Well done! I recommend it. Flavio Maia-Pinto.

We could not have asked for better on our honeymoon. The Hotel Britannique was perfectly located in Paris only one block from the Ile de Citie and Notre Dame. The attention to detail, cleanliness and professional staff were excellent. We highly recomend this hotel!

Room Tip: We faced out towards the main street. Very nice room, extrmely clean with all modern emeneties.

Wonderful location off the Marais, central yet has some nice residential feeling to it. The room was clean and lovely, bathroom modern and cozy. Rooms are not spacious but we found ours just right for us. The lounge is romantic with some pleasant music and Wi Fi and when it rains outside you get an umbrella - someone has thought of the small details. Bottom line good value for money and we will be happy to return.

We stayed with Hotel Britannique from October 2nd-6th for our visit to Paris on the first part of our honeymoon. We wanted a hotel with Parisian character, but at the same time clean and comfortable. After scouring trip advisor, we went with HB and are SO thankful we did! One block away from the Sine river, and a five-ten minute walk to Notre Dame, the location couldn't be better. There are restaurants nearby, a main metro station fifty feet away from the door and it's on a busier, safe street if you happen to be returning in the evening. The hotel is very charming, and the staff is wonderfully helpful with taxis, directions, and anything else you need. We got in early, and it wasn't a problem to store our bags before check in time. As people have mentioned, this is Paris, so the rooms are on the smaller side, as are the bathrooms and the lift (one person plus one suitcase and you're full)- but for us, that was part of the experience. The touches they had- such as the bathrobes, the windows that opened out onto the street, the comfortable beds, really made this stay wonderful for us. Also, we certainly didn't expect anything extra, but the hotel left us a lovely note wishing us a wonderful honeymoon that was very thoughtful- and something we had at only one other hotel on this trip. Thank you to the staff at HB for such a wonderful start to our trip- we never wanted to leave!

We stayed at this hotel from October 6th to 13th. It was our first time in Paris, France. The hotel was as perfect as it can get. It's not over the top or lacking in any manner. It suited our needs 100%. Close to a lot of places such as the Louvre and Notre Dame.

You can see the Eiffel tower from the canal, which is a block away.

The staff were super knowledgeable, super nice and helpful. The hotel helped make the trip simply amazing and memorable.

Room Tip: The rooms are not typical North American size hotel rooms. So, if you are of larger size (eg. close...

Wow- where to start. Just spent 7 nights at this unpretentious little hotel. It was as close to perfect as you can get. We had a large room with a king size bed, a great bathroom with a roomy shower, big oversized robes, an in room safe and black out blinds. The room was spotless, the bed was so comfortable you didn't want to get out in the morning and the staff was tremendous. Very friendly, very helpful and always available for any question no matter how trivial. They had a great little breakfast that was handy on days we wanted to get going quickly. The location was perfect. 4 blocks to Notre Dame. 3 blocks to d'Orsy. A few blocks to the Louvre. You can get a direct train to Versailles at the St. Michael/Notre Dame RER train stop which is only 2 blocks from the hotel. This hotel is one of the best kept secrets of Paris. We will never stay any other hotel when we visit Paris. It was really that good.
