“excellent location”
Reviewed June 15, 2013

the best about this hotel is its perfect location in the middle of the Latin district, close to lots of tourist attractions and convenient located very close to the subway station. as most of the hotels in Paris, very small room, it makes you ask how they receive the category stars in Paris, as Paris would not be part of the same good old Earth. The service at the reception is between the limit of unfriendly and simulating friendliness. they do not seem to be very concerned about the clients. good thing that we didn't care, so a positive feedback for this hotel just because of perfect location and good price-value offers.

This Hotel is part of the Best Western chain. Very good location for shopping, restaurants and bus stops.
Rooms are very small. Building appears to have been converted to a Hotel sometime back. Would struggle to be a 3 star in Pacific and Asian regions. Reception was extremely helpful and very accommodating. Breakfast is cold staff require intense training in manners. Our bed appeared no to have been made from mattress up for sometime.

Room Tip: Ask to see the room first.

Only read reviews on my return from our trip yesterday and some seem to be extreme, but I could not fault this hotel. We arrived on the 20th May for a 3 nights stay, very good hotel and location as there are so many hotels to choose from. Area very good for walking to the sights and easy to find a Metro. Room medium and good for the price, breakfast very good for the start of the day - eat as much. staff very friendly and helpful - we asked if they could book a trip on the day to Monet Gardens, which they did.On departure left cases at reception after breakfast, went back from them in afternoon ( no charge for this). There was only a few issues - on return to our room one late evening the maid did not replace the tea cups and left the dirty ones, no coffee/tea & milk - left my wife went to reception at midnight to ask for these so we could have a drink - night porter apologised. Also the main bin was not emptied at all for the 3 night stay. I wanted a hot bath after being out for 12 hours - no plug to have a bath ( so put a glass over plug hole).
all in all a very good break for my wife's 50th

Room Tip: we stayed on level 4 and this was good

I came across this hotel by chance and I'm so glad I did.

The location is great - very close to Rue Mouffetard and many metro stations and bus stops. There are so many great value restaurants and bakeries around the hotel dining is a breeze.

The hotel itself looks really good. Service at the front desk was great and English is spoken (luckily for us). We had booked a room for three people which ended up being a mini apartment. There was a hall with three rooms coming off it: a main bedroom with plenty of closet space, a sitting room with a fold out double bed and a bathroom which was rather large for Paris.

The only downside to the whole hotel was the lack of light in our rooms. The windows were small so there was not much natural light in the bedroom. The only other light was supplied by lamps with half of them not working.

Overall the hotel was great and I would highly recommend it. The staff were lovely, in particular the young man who helped us though I can't remember his name unfortunately. He was a delight and took the time to draw on a map all of the key transport in the area as well as help us with anything we that came up. There was also free wifi for the duration of our stay which was extremely convenient.

What a joke to pay €131 a night for this hotel. The rooms are tiny, air conditioning does not work, the safe does not work, the hair dryer and shower head were also broken. Was really looking forward to staying here as the reviews were really good, some of the best for a hotel this size.. So disappointed, if your looking for a good nights sleep, DO NOT stay here. The room was roasting hot, even with the air conditioning on, couldn't seep for 3 nights stay. The morning we were leaving, the consierge didn't even ask how our stay was, no smile, no thank you. This hotel is a joke, totally over rated.. Don't waste your time or money on this place.? Oh yeah and there was a dirty sock left in our room also, we only found it when we were packing to go home on the last day, horrible.

While I was there, I enjoyed the hotel location and its breakfast. The problem, though, was the lack of safety I felt once many guests at the hotel had their bags opened or with the locks destroyed. Things had been taken away from many people. I've seen some other guests who had their room safes violated: money in cash had been stolen and the hotel said they could do nothing about that, so the police had to be called. I've seen everything from a close point of view and that's why I do not recommend it. As I always say: safety must always come first. Hear me advice, folks!

We recently had a wonderful week in this little hotel. With two adults and a teenager choices for a room for 3 that was reasonably priced and in a good location were limited. We had a delightful room on the top floor providing a lovely view of the Paris rooftops. Staff were very helpful and the room was clean.
Major pluses for us
- sofa bed (third bed) was in a separate room so our teenager had space to spread. Rooms were good size for Paris.
- they provided tea making facilities in the room. This is the only place on our trip to Europe where we encountered this.
- Rue Mouffetard is just around the corner, an amazing steet of cafes, restaurants, patisseries, cheese shops, fruit and vegie markets, everything a foodie could wish for.
There is a metro close by and walking distance to Luxembourg Gardens and Notre Dame
Highly recommended.
