“Perfect boutique hotel in an awesome city neighborhood”
Reviewed April 3, 2011

This hotel provides an excellent location in the St Germain neighborhood and is so convenient for hopping on/off the Metro at the Vaneau stop. There is a cafe downstairs where you can pick up your espresso in the morning and the staff is very helpful. It can be a bit loud outside (it is the city afterall). I would definitely stay here again.

This delightful hotel is easy to find from the local Metro station (Vaneau). It is in a good spot for getting around in in a pleasant quartier. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well looked after with enough space to move in without crowding each other. The bathroom included a real wake-you-up power shower but the towels did not need to be changed every day, so green credentials were lost a bit. The staff were friendly, polite and very helpflul. The buffet breakfast included dried fruit, yogurts, juice, bread, pastries and cereal selection, cold meats, cheeses as well of course as delcious coffee. It was an excellent start to the day! Will definately go back.

We booked this hotel for the night of the 23/12/2010 as we were planning one night in Paris after 3 days in Normandy before going over to Scotland for Christmas. Due to adverse weather conditions (15 hours at Luton airport) we unfortunately had to cancel the Normandy leg of the trip. Not only was Hotel Vaneau able to accommodate us for the 3 extra days in Paris, but we were given the rooms at the special rate we received upon initially booking. The staff were extremely helpful (even at 1am when we arrived), our room was lovely and very spacious for the time we actually spent there. I would not hesitate to return to this hotel.

This hotel is perfectly situated , it's right next to Vaneau metro station and there is a Carrefour (supermarket) across the road for everything you need.
The staff are polite and helpful. I managed to get by with only very little French with no trouble as they all spoke excellent English.
The rooms were very clean with linen service every day. The bathrooms were immaculate.
The hotel is not very big which is nice in a way, but the rooms aren't huge as a result. The room was not shoebox-sized though, it was comfortable. There was a flat panel TV in the room and the beds were good quality.
Given the very high prices normally paid in Paris, this hotel is well priced for the excellent location. Rue de Sèvres has lots of good eating and shopping, and all of Paris is accessible by the Metro.

The only down sides were the very high prices for room service and breakfast, which is otherwise of excellent quality, and the street noise at night which can disturb sleep when the ambulances and police sirens are going off a lot. This is all normal for Paris though and you get it no matter where you stay inside the city.

I would recommend this as a great hotel for tourists wanting to spend a weekend or maybe one week exploring central Paris. I was able to get to all the major sites (Notre Dame, Louvre, Invalides, etc.) with quick metro trips. Tip: Nearby cafés were cheaper than the breakfast at the hotel.

We stayed at 3 different hotels during our 2 weeks in Paris and this one was by far the best! Good location (near metro station), about a 30 minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower. The place was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely would stay there again!
