We stayed there on points. They gave us a fantastically large room with a balcony overlooking the C-de-E, and a view of the Eiffel Tower!!! We had to peel ourselves back into the room at night!

The complimetary breakfast was great, with the Egyptian chef, making custom omlettes! The staff was always smiling and helpful. Great location! We walked to the Louvre, the Notre Dame, the multiple museums, the Eiffel Tower. We only used the trains for the Versailles and the Sacre Coeur.

Thank you staff for helping make this a great anniversary celebration!

PS: the charges for the internet were, regretfully stupid, in the business center!

The hotel was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. It was close to the Metro and plenty of shopping if you want to spend the money. We used points so I cannot comment of the value, but we were more than satisfied. We had some problems with connectivity to my Ipad but they contacted the company and it was resolved. there was a 30 euro charge on our bill for the call but it was taken off once we cleared it up. Breakfast was excellant. Omlettes and everything else you could ask for.

The breakfast was the good it had hash browns, scrambled eggs, waffles, pancakes, fresh fruit, etc. we stayed for 4 days and it was a really good stay

I went to this hotel for one night for my girlfriends birthday. The recent renovation has stripped what character it used to have out of the place, and the staff do not know what good service or running a 4-5* hotel means. From the constant interruptions by housekeeping (3 times in the morning), the stone cold late breakfast with the most disgusting scrambled eggs i have eaten, to the non-functioning lift/door pass cards which were reset every time we needed to operate a lift or door and still never worked - we had to be escorted by a member of staff everywhere we went to make sure we could getmaround- this hotel was a co pelt disappointment. None of the above compared to the worst aspect of the trip though. When you pay 700 euros for a room in a 5 star hotel, you expect the hotel to go out of their way to make you comfortable. My girlfriend and i were stuck down in rue de rivoli some 1 to 2 miles away at 2.30 am and needed a taxi back so called the hotel. You might have thought that in the capital of France a five star hotel reception could get a chauffeur or taxi whatever time of night but not this one. We were given 2 hours wait time and ended up walking back. My girlfriend was bear foot most of the way due to high heals, twisted her ankle and ended up in tears. Whe. We got back the receptinists, far from being busy looking up taxi firms and a making calls were laughing in a staff room at something. After being escorted to our room because the keycards wouldn't work, we fell asleep. In the morning i complained to Fabian the head of customer services. As a regular Marriott user i started off by saying that i wanted to be constructive. Fabian had little sympathy for any of my remarks, saying things like the responsibility of the hotel to help you ends when you walk out the door I.e. I shouldn't have been asking them to book me a taxi from elsewhere in Paris. He clearly had no comprehension of the end to end service a hotel like that should offer. The one time you needed them, they weren't there for you. For a hotel that's lowest price rom is 700 euro, this is the worse Marriott i have ever been to.

location, location, location! Best place to stay. Not only a beautiful hotel but located in the heart of all that is Paris. Shopping from Louis Vuitton, Sephora, Monoprix and Quick! Metro access to the Louvre, Eifel Tower, all touristy things. And after all the walking and exploring, its a pleasure to come home to the comfort that is this hotel. Even after almost getting mugged in Paris, I wouldnt say I enjoyed Paris if I had stayed anywhere else.

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Dirty, unorganised and the rudest staff (even by Paris standards) I have ever encountered.
We arrived to check in and were told we had to wait an hour. The food was absolutely horrid and the bathroom and room was dirty and run down.
For the price we payed, one night was £600 for a standard room, it was shocking.
Impersonal and bland.
I will never be staying in a Marriot again.

My wife and I arrived on September 10th for one night. We arrived to check in at about 3:30pm and were told despite our confirmed reservation for one bed, that they only had one room remaining and it was 2 double beds. Despite our reservation being booked by the travel agent, weeks in advance. We have stayed at this hotel many times and have enjoyed it immensely in the past. It could not be better positioned for access to many of the restaurants we like.
The desk clerk informed us that this was the last room in the hotel and if we were unsatisfied with two beds then we were free to go to another hotel. Our travel agent contacted the manager on our behalf and was met with the same hostility. The implication was that the travel agent was American (which she is not) so she would not know what type of beds are available in European hotels. After about an hour and our having unpacked, a desk clerk called our room to say that they had a tiny room with one bed. We declined as we were there for one night. Our travel agent suggested to the manager that their mistake should result in some token adjustment for us for our inconvenience, he adamantly disagreed. At a rate exceeding $700 per night, we felt that the inconvenience that they created for us justified some accommodation.

Both my wife and I had business meetings later in the afternoon and due to heavy traffic in Paris that day because of the strike that had just occurred protesting raising the retirement age in France, we had arranged our meetings in the public spaces of the hotel. It was a beautiful late autumn day and my wife and her attorney requested coffee in the hotel's lovely terrace garden. My wife's French attorney commented that the rudeness of the staff, acting as though they were supremely inconvenienced to be requested to have terrace service in the afternoon, was surprising as she is French.

Public spaces are nice and there is a small, but adequate gym. Extremely rude front desk. As frequent travelers, this was most unacceptable behavior by the management.
