Based on the four-star rating, neighborhood, and proximity to metro and world-famous sites, my extended family and I chose the Garden Elysee. Certainly, we were most pleased. The young man at the desk on December 25, 2010 was most pleasant. Although we had much practiced our French, he spoke English very well as did all the hotel staff with whom we conversed.

Of greatest import were the sparkling clean, well-appointed accommodations. Everything is clean-clean! The beds are most comfortable, and at the end of our busy day visiting Paris, everything was perfect. The furnishings are fresh and comfy too. No need to worry - the rooms are secure.

Although I personally did not eat or imbibe, my family did. All raved about the breakfast. There is a bar, but drinks are extremely pricey, so beware. There is a grocery just next door and a variety of wonderful eateries within easy walking distance in any direction.

Our stay at the Garden Elysee was most enjoyable. "Merci beaucoup" to all the staff who contributed to our accommodations being quiet, clean and comfortable!

We had a wonderful stay in Paris at the Garden Elysee! Though the rooms were a bit small (to be expected), the hotel made up for it with great service and staff that went above and beyond even during the holidays! We especially liked chatting with Jerome at the front desk who would always have wonderful recommendations about things to do and eat nearby the hotel! It was a little far from the center of Paris but there was a convenient metro stop a few blocks away.

Horrendus Hotel - Not in a good location. Horrible and rude staff. I am a single woman traveller and a man walked into the room when I was in the bathroom and the bathroom door was open bc there are no vents and it gets too steamy.. I got no apologies and at no point did anyone ask me if I had a satisfying stay.

We carefully read your review regarding our establishment and we fell sorry that you haven’t been entirely satisfied with you stay. Hotel Garden Elysee is located between Champs Elysée & Eiffel Tower: map is extremely clear on website – nevertheless, it might not switch with your business appointments.
We are very disappointed with your comments regarding staff as we usually have very good comments (see other reviews). The only person that could have entered into your room could be technical service but they are trained not to enter in a room before knocking & announcing themselves. Please note that we have a satisfaction questionnaire in each room if you wish to let us know about how to always improve level of service within our property.

Well, I was whisked on a surprise weekend to Paris for my 30th birthday... And then my OH proposed on day after my birthday in this very hotel, so it has incredibly special memories for us!

Can't comment on VFM as I don't know how much it cost, but the room was lovely. We had a very comfortable bed and space for a little table and chairs with ample wardrobe space. The bathroom was also of a good size, with a powerful shower. One of the best things about the room, and indeed the location of the hotel in general, was it was so very quiet; I am a really light sleeper but had a great night's sleep here. Additionally, the reception staff were welcoming and helpful. Also willing to speak French!

We didn't use the bar or have breakfast in the hotel, preferring to make use of the cafes/small shops in the surrounding streets. Avenue Kleiber had lots of choice. We have a tradition of getting takeaway pizza on birthday nights and Speed Rabbit was delicious! We also ate at the Italian restaurant next door to the hotel, which was OK but on reflection would have been better off venturing to a more French bistro on Avenue Kleiber.

You are only 10 mins away from the Trocadero Gardens and the Eifell Tower - the moment the tower came into view as we strolled down the road was magical!

Just spent 7 delightful nights with the Hotel. The staff was always anxious to provide suggestions as to where to visit or eat.

Pasquale was delightful and entertaining. The front desk staff was accommodating even when I asked questions which would have tried the most patient staff. The rooms were well maintained and definitely in keeping with the better hotels. Location of the Hotel is ideal to main attractions and shopping.

My wife and I loved the hotel. While they do not have a restaurant -- they do have a wonderful breakfast and can prepare a repast of cheese, meat and bread at the bar. The bartender Pascal can tell you about all the sights to see and the restaurants that have food you will enjoy. The staff at the desk are very helpful and will help you in anyway possible.
We stayed in the smallest room in the hotel and found it very nice. We went to Paris to see the sights and only used the room to sleep and bathe. We were not interested in watching TV, videos ar playing games.
This beautiful hotel is with walking distance of the River Seine, the Eiffel Tower, The Champs Elysees and The Arc de Triomphe. It is a short walk to the Metro/Bus stop from the hotel.

Had a short (3 night) break here and were really pleased with the overall experience.
The room, although smallish by normal 4 star standards, was VERY clean, each time we returned to the room after the maids had been in, you felt like you were the first person to use the room. The only complaint about the room was the lack of kettle for the usual tea/coffee etc, however, we new about this before we got there and took a small travel kettle, tea and coffee and the mini-bar kept the milk cold... (there is a mini market just a few yards from the hotel).
All of the staff were friendly and efficient, but special thanks go to Pasqual, the bar manager, he was friendly and helpful and not only gave great advice on places to visit and eat, but also made reservations and bookings and arranged taxi's, thanks Pasqual..
We only had breakfast once in the hotel, this was pricey by comparison to the many restaurants in easy walking distance and also limited in the choices available.
With the entrance to the hotel being through a private courtyard off a quite road, there was next to no noise from outside, even with the windows open.
All in all, a very good experience and we would have no trouble recommending this place.
