Garden Elysee Hotel

When you first arrive at the hotel, you can immediately see why this place is called Garden Elysee. Tucked away off the main road, the hotel feels like a small oasis despite being in close proximity to the metro and within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower.

With friendly staff, clean rooms and a Carrefour right next door, what's not to like about this wonderful hotel?

The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the room was very quiet and comfortable. There is a great grocery market down the street and a metro station two blocks away. The hotel bar is cozy. We were very happy with our stay.

A family member and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in late-April 2012. I have to say, it exceeded my expectations of a European hotel.

Jerome was amazing! He provided us with information on how to get around, when was the best time to go places, and helped in our transportation to the CDG for our flight home.

The room was small, but clean. The bathroom was bigger than most of the hotels in the U.S. and was also very clean. We had requested two beds, and were surprised to see them pushed together when we arrived. All was okay though, because there was at least separate linens for each bed and a small gap in between.

This location was a 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower, not far from the Arch de Triumph, and close to a Metro station. The area felt very secure/safe, and there was a small market/grocery store next door that had anything you needed. This location was also very quiet!

If we were to return to Paris, this would be the first place I would look at for accommodations.

Thank you, Garden Elysee, for a wonderful stay!

We stayed at Hotel Garden Elysées for four nights. It was my husband’s birthday and we are art enthusiasts.

The location of the hotel is great less than ten minutes to the Eiffel Tower. You can get buses at the Eiffel Tower to many attractions. Many boat services leave form the Bridge near the Tower and of course the Metro. Lots of places to eat and drink.

The hotel staff are very friendly welcoming and helpful. The hotel has a lift, free Wi-Fi, comfy TV lounge, garden and seating in the reception area.

Our room was very quiet and comfortable; we were on the third floor and backed onto the garden.

The room has a mini bar which was well stocked with various drinks and acceptable prices for the refreshments. There is lots of wardrobe space and full length mirror. The room has a safe which is free. The double bed is a bit small but comfortable. The room has a TV with lots of channels, nice lighting, a table, chairs, dressing table and bedside tables. Good sized bathroom lots hot water and a bath the shower would be my only criticism, just a tap with a diverter and not a great experience. Stick to the bath! There is a hair dryer, one of those fitted ones not a lot of good but okay at a pinch.

There is a Carrefour City supermarket three doors from the hotel, which is open early and closes at nine pm, great to help with the food budget as Paris is expensive! We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel, as it seemed expensive, eighteen Euros each if I remember correctly. We enjoyed eating at a coffee bar close by. We did use the hotel bar and prices were comparable to the bars nearby. The garden at the hotel is a quiet haven and very good friendly barman. A very relaxing experience after a hectic day in the city.

I would definitely go back to this hotel because of its location, friendly staff and room comfort.

Pros: The staff was very friendly, Micheal, Jerome, Alex, and Fernando were awesome, they helped us get around and navigate the city. Paul the bellman was a wealth of information, we couldn't have asked for frendlier staff!! The breakfast was pretty good and well worth the price. The location was fantastic, walk to the Eiffel, the Arc and the champs. The hotel was very clean.

Cons: The room was supposed to be a junior suite, but it was small and cramped. The bathroom was way too tiny, sitting on the toilet, my knees pressed against the wall and I am not tall. The beds were horribly hard, uncomfortable and all single beds. They just pushed them together to make a double. The front desk called us a cab one morning and failed to tell us that taxis charge a euro surcharge when the hotel calls them. We got cabs other mornings by walking a half block up the street and we felt we should have been informed.

I would not stay there again.
